GREAT NEWS – Chief is doing great

[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]
Mrs. Chief called and said he is doing fine. As of now and for the next few days he will be in ICU, then he will get to chase the nurses around a few more day in his room.

Chief ended up having SIX by- passes.

We will keep you up dated.

Chief:

Hope you are up and around soon! Sounds like you needed
a PLUMBER instead of a SURGEON! :)

Anyhoo...good luck and best wishes.

Wow! Six bypasses! Thank you Spankybird for the good news!

All our best for the Chief's continued recovery.

My former boss and friend had a quadruple bypass a few years ago and is doing great. Obviously he lives a very different lifestyle with great care in food selection, medication, and a daily exercise regimen.

Chief, listen carefully to what the doctors ask you to do!

Regards,
Roy

Hi Chief!

Well! I'm away from the forum for a while and you fall apart! Seriously, I'm glad your surgery was successful and I'm praying for your rapid recovery. My Dad had five bypasses back in 1979 and he hasn't had any problems since - and he's 80 years old! Just be sure to do what the doctors order and you'll be up and around in no time! Oh, and stay away from the nurses - my wife is a nurse and if patients get too frisky she puts their bedpan in the freezer!

I wan't able to get hold of Pam (Chief's wife) last night. I tried up to 10:00pm and no answer on the phone.

NO News is Good News. I will try later today.

Hang in there dude!

Last year I had a heart attack and when I was on the table, the doctor said "We can do two of your arteries now or reschedule and do a triple by-pass." I was scared enough as it was, so I opted for the 2/3 job he could do then... well, your "scary part" is past and I know you can bounce back!

Update on the Chief.- Friday 11-12-04

Just talked with Mrs. Chief and she says he is doing great, he has great color and has already been up for a short walk.

She did say he was a little blue because he couldn’t play with his trains.

Things are going better than they could hope for.

He does not have mail delivery at the hospital, but I can forward his home address for those who wi***o send to his house and Pam will take it to him.

UP DATE Sunday 11-14-04

Good Morning all,

Good new and better news. Not only did I talk with Chief’s wife, I also talked with Chief. He is now out of ICU and in a regular room. He has been walking daily and has great color. Chief believes he will be released in a day or two.

Glad you are home Chief.

Chief, Do you realize you have sorta become a cult figure on the CTT forum. Not bad for a good ol boy from the swamps of North Carolina.[:D]
