Sorry Bob, didn’t think of the K-4 or the F3, maybe next year. And we do have both.

Dr. John. Some of the building are Lemax from last year. The Haunted House is Dept 56 and a couple of the others were from a local chain called Marc’s. Those were only $2 or $3 each. I had to add my own lights to them.

One could also model the B&O&O. The layout design would have tracks running every witch way.

Very nice, Spankybird! Are your buildings Lemax? I was looking at their Halloween village at Michael's yesterday.

Great job. Let me guess: You run K4s and Tuscan w/pinstripe F3s with sedate gold lettering "TRANSLVANIA Railroad" on the side?

Halloween Village

We wanted to share with you our Halloween Village project. This was a recycled xmas layout. As you can see it was painted white with cotton glued on it for snow. (BTW, this was my wife’s before I meet her).

After removing the cotton, we set it up on our table

Then we lay down the track – 027 that we had left over from our main layout

Then we placed our building to see how we wanted to arrange them

We use this piece of cut wood for marking out our road ways

Our next step was to plug any unwanted hole from the old layout. This was done with plaster cloth. The we painted small sections at a time and as the paint was still wet, we applied our ground cover

Then it on to the next area Smile [:)]

If you noticed, I used a lot of newspaper to protect what I didn’t want to paint.

Now it’s time to paint the roads. I used Flat Black Cool [8D]

And then its time to add the kids Big Smile [:D]

And of course the TRAIN Tongue [:P]Tongue [:P]Big Smile [:D]
