Hello all
Up a few hours early to take over for my co-worker. They needed his room since we have more folks coming up tonight. I will be taking my new Swedish friends back tomorrow. We will have an Italian, a Swede, and an Austrian (who works in Sweden) staying here tonight. Plus one rather eccentric electrical engineer. And of course one ex-Navy carpenter, maintenance guy, mechanic, hardware store manager, geologist who took an interesting detour a few years ago
More weather on the way for the weekend. Will I ever get the bike painted?
At least I'll have time to package up a 1615 and discharge all the photons that may have stuck to it. And dig the tender out of storage. Maybe I'll grab a couple cars for the new 0-8-0 to drag around.
Our engineer should be arriving. He is going to be turning up our hydrogen maser that we use for our long distance observations coming up soon. Guess I should go check on him.

Fifey - You better be careful out there...snow and flakes (driving) --- not good.
Kev - Yeah, I love my Mopar....getting antsy to get it to go, but patience and a divorce....my time will come. Next hurdle is headers and assembly.
JimmyT - Yeah, I'd stick with cars and trains..... Females......hmmm I'd rethink that....
Prediction right now is rain/snow/rain/snow....2-4" so, who the heck knows....
Buffalo chicken and rice for dinner tonight...ahhh microwaves....!!!

Good afternoon.
No work tonight, so that means more time on my P-38. Hope to have the propellers and turbosuperchargers painted by the end of the day.

Chief - I saw the weather forecast. My Snow Deflector has a problem. It won't rotate so I can deflect the snow from SJ's Cannon. Any help would be appreceated. Probleby in the fifth stage diode circuit . Unless I get it fixed, we could have 12" of snow!

Brent,
TheQ sounds like me regarding vehicles. Buy one as a garage decoration (only 4,800 miles since 6-11-11) that'll never see snow or salt. Rain and parking lots are also kept to a minimum.
The interview seemed to go very well, but they said they'll let me know. Application that I was given and followup letters are already sent.

Afternoon Fellas
Back at work after taking the kiddos to the ped. Christina has FINALLY kicked the ear infections! Matthew is gaining weight, and growing slowly. He is in the 30-35 percentile in all categories. Up to 9lbs 2oz... kid eats like a horse!Probe - if I were you I would stick with 'stangs and trains. Trust me. Rich - couldn't have said it better myself. Well put.Kev - good luck digging out... I'll be doing the same tomorrow. Snowthrower was moved from the shed to the garage last night, blocked TheQ's 5-series in (RWD - does not see snow) and she was mad she couldn't drive it today... seriously!Speaking of said 5-series. It sits in the garage most of the time and when TheQ went to start it on Saturday it wouldn't start. So guess who got to figure out what the issue was. Christina didn't want to spend time with her aunt, who drove from Pittsburgh to see her and her brother, so she came into the garage with me. I sat her on the passenger seat so she wouldn't get in the way - and I figured she wouldn't hit the door lock button since it is in the middle of the dash - not on the door... well I had the key in the ignition, got out, closed the door, opened the back doors so I could get the carseats out and remove the seat (that was where I was told the battery was)... it wasn't there so I put everything back together, closed the passenger rear door, went around to close the driver rear door and just as I shut the door... CLICK! OMG! Look down and sure enough the door was locked, I looked at Christina and she was standing on the passenger seat smiling back at me looking over her should with her finger on the door lock button!!!!!! I go inside and look for the valet key - not where it is supposed to be... tell my sister what happened and she called AAA. They were there in <15 minutes (seemed like 2 hours) and the popped the door for no fee. The battery is turns out is in the trunk (where my 3-series' is). We all got a chuckle out of it. Christina thought it was a game.

laz 57 Anyone know who sells H2O Krylon paint? Want to spray a mountain scene on the layout and don't want the smell? I tried Wally World yesterday they didn't have it. Laz it is all over on AMAZON and you don't have to go to the store. Also try Ace hardware. The one by us has it. Still snowing and we are at about the 5" mark.
Chief don't know what he is missing. I had a great time plowing out the lane and drive in front of the house and laughed by back off watching the stupid neighbor kid stick his pick up truck in the snow. He is an idiot.
I drove to the Shell station and got some diesel for the tractor and I will wait for 4" more before I make another pass. I sure do like the blade mounted to the loader with the tilt working. I can make BIG piles with it.
DougM, I hope your wife's back gets better. That can be bad. Sandra had a lot of problems last year and it was as hard on me as it was on her.

Aloha. Here comes the snow. The bride's back went out late last night or early this morn, so I'm taking a day to care for her. Not too good when she can't get up off the floor. But the pain meds should kick in soon. Cancelled my class because of the impending weather. Students are happy. Got a bunch of conference calls, but it should be a quiet day. Nice TARDIS ride last night. Glad to hear Bigboy is doing OK.Sears has the H20 Krylon Paint, Laz. I just saw a rack there on Sat.

26 here awaiting big SNO HIZ O tomorrow. CHUCK has the CANNON on us? We wil wait and see. Yesterday got my badges for YORK. Wore it all day to get in practice at showing it at all the doors before entering halls. I'm all set now.
ROY, I remember BIGBOY posting on here when I joined back in '04, nice guy. He the CHIEF and BUCKEYE really let me have it when I first joined.
Did all PT now a 5 mile walk to the river and back with my little gal.
Stay frosty my friends,
Good morning all,
It will be messy in SE Indiana today. Watched 2 episodes of MASH last night. Work was really busy yesterday and now I am sitting here waiting for some one to build me the files I need for today. Too many shakeups at work. May get to meet one of my favorite IndyCar people today if weather cooperates. Long day today. RI52, sorry to hear of your loss. TBIL after roller derby tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good morning. It's 62° with 100% humidity. The high will be 65°.The wind advisory is in effect yet again today. Sustained winds of 20-30mph with gusts above 34. Fortunately there's nowhere outside of this area that I have to be today. No plans for today except to work on the layout. I see a big mess right in front of me that needs cleaning up. Some of it is leftovers from yesterdays project.I have no idea how long I'll be online today. My internet service has gone out several times this morning already and I'm actually enjoying the idea of tracking down the nearest Suddenlink tech and giving him a piece of my mind. Thing is I don't know if he'd know what to do with it.

Another quiet evening collecting photons. Using 3 different bands tonights so it's been fairly interesting.
Will prob stay up until Thurs this week in order to give my Swedish observers a ride back. Whom am I if not to serve?
Jeffrey - like the looks of that F unit. Maybe I could get to liking EMD cab units
Jack - thoughts and prayers for your family
Jim - good luck on the interview!
Ordered a bushing kit for the accelerator cable and rods for the hardtop last night. Got a loose rod going from the powerglide up to the carbs that may affect how and when the car shifts. We are going to try a reset the valves and carbs this weekend so I'd like to have this tightened up before. I just love this supplier in MA. They sell everything that you need in one kit at a reasonable price. Someday if I win the lottery I'm going to order everything they have for the 4 door, the Corvan, and a '64 2-door coupe which I will then go find
Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a partly sunny 29 degrees. Going up to 38 today with rain later.
Today is a busy day. I have a bunch of chores to do and some paperwork to work on. I will have lunch and take a nice nap.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.

RedfireS197 Jake, You'll like that 2046/2046W. That pair is underrated IMO. I'd take that over a 2055 any day.

Dang good compromise then I take it.
Good morning everyone. Had an assembly about a D.C. trip taking place for seniors next week. Feeling somewhat tired, but I guess that's Tuesday for ya.
Konbanwa,
We enjoyed another sunny and fairly warm day today. The workday was ordinary and afterwards I signed up the older boy for baseball season. I also volunteered to coach again. It’s time to get the kdis ready for bed now.
Jack – I’m sorry for your family’s loss. I’ll pray for all of you. You handled your granddaughter’s questions very well. Also, I think my post-school To-Do list is as long as my wife’s list.
Kev – Thanks for the update on Ryan. I hope things work out well for him and he returns soon.
Rich – Great job on the spot checks.
Jim – I hope the interview goes well.
Sayonara,

Howdy All.
Been lurking a bit but after museum days and the other things going on just to pooped to post. Med changes really have somewhat of a debillitating effect and I end up taking a nap whether I want to or not.
Got a couple of new projects to do. We're donating the munchkins Imaginarium table and Spiral Train Set to the museum which requires securing the track and trestles to the table so other munchkins won't be knocking it down. To give it a sturdier base for fastening everything down I'll have to add an additional underlayment of plywood with some router work.
The second project is for the "Better-Half", I surprised her with the RMT "Cancer Cure 2" train set to display at the Relay For Life that she and our daughter have taken part in for years. After she asked if she could run a loop of track, no power available, it looks like I will have to come up with some sort of diorama for it.
Jack, Condolences to the family. Times like this always remind me of one of my favorites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m85Uju04UYQ&feature=related
Forgot what else I wanted to say so I guess I'll call it a nite.

Jim: Good luck with the interview...
I did some work on the primer gray FP7 today. I drilled holes for the railings and grabs and fitted them in. The smallest drill bit I have is a 1/32" so the holes are a bit bigger than needed. I'll have to pack some clay in around the ends of the rails and grabs. It's not the best job but it'll do. I'm not going to make a habit of it that's for sure. There was very little cleanup work done.Time to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.
Roy,
Hopefully Elliott comes back here. I have not been on that other forum for some time.
Do you think my luck could possibly be that bad?
Hooked on Netflix now. Between The Wonder Years, Dragnet, Adam-12, and many other shows I'll probably spend way too much time in front of the TV.
Interview in the morning.
Good Evening...
Wonderful sun showed up this afternoon so Audrey and myself took a walk along Springbank Park here in London ON just to get some air....
Going to be somewhat the same tomorrow as well....
