 Evenin' Fellas.

Post surgery follow-up is tomorrow morning so I should have all the gorey details... number of stitches... can I get an Over/Under on this one? I've got 70 as my target. Been laying around doing nothing today... driving me nuts. FiL came over to monitor me, we watched Bedtime Stories and Happy Gilmore then SusieQ came home, her boss sent her home. Then my Mom came down from Pittsburgh... lots of people to take care of me... Big Smile

Jack - I have been put on the 'idiot' list. Smile She asked me to get rid of the circular saw.

Fife - No peg legs for me thank you! Big Smile

Brent If you remember about 3 or 4 years ago I tried to make 2 thumbs out of one with a table saw. So mine may not have been as what yours sound but take care and remember Tool safety first ( by the way I no longer own a table saw lol)

Brutus glad to hear the news on your wife.

I red some where about a daughter and I think Phish getting Angel so want to send them on as I missed what happened sorry.

I'm doing Okay but still getting light headed so guess need to make appointment with my own doctor and try to figure whats going on.

Was told today by another departments department head wish he had an opening so I could apply and he could hire me as he said I was a hard worker. Blew my mind. I would love to work that department its easy job

Hope all had a good day

Pam on her phone:   Chief, where are you?  I am watching the news and there is some crazed  knucklehead driving the wrong way on Roseyville highway!  Are you ok?

Chief in his car:   Pam, the news reports are wrong!  There isn't one knucklehead driving the wrong way on Roseyville highway.  There are hundreds of them!  They must be Yanks!

Charlie,

             Congratulations.

Brent,

I think I smell a conspiracy here. Fife probably rigged the saw so he could recruit a crew member for the sailboat.Wink All kidding aside, I hope that heals quickly for you. If that happened to me, I wouldn't be able to keep my cool. I'd bleed out while screaming.Big Smile

RT,

I remember what happened to you with the table saw. I thought about that every time I made a cut. I just made sure that my work area was clean and I never, ever took my eyes off the blade.

Thanks guys!

Charlie - BIG CONGRATULATIONS BIG GUY!

JimSP - sorry, I missed it too, prayers are out there for you and yours.  Prayers for all of us and ours.  This has been a tough year on everyone I think.

88 - Remember to read and understand the manuals that came with your power tools, and to always wear these - safety glasses Laugh  Heal up fast, or the list will keep growing - that's what I think!

RT - I sure remember your tablesaw fun too!  Makes me a little extra cautious!

Don, Chief, etc - they just put in one of these around here somewhere, but it involved turns that went under and around etc to avoid t-bones I guess.

Tardis is ready and I think Doug just popped up on the screen, so gotta run - banilla!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Good Evening

Windy cold day. Stayed in the 40s.

No more news from Charlie but I am sure all is well.

We did vote and shop, then spent the rest of the day at home. I shall wait for the Tardis, banilla ready...S.J.

Good Evening all

It is a beautiful evening out tonight.

Brent – Prayers of thanksgiving that it was not as serious as it could have been.  I feel your pain.  Many scars and stitches from accidents over the years.

Thank you all for your prayers, and we will need more of them.  Well, I’ll catch you all up on what is going on.  Our eldest daughter got messed up with oxycotton and went into rehab this past February.  That is when the grandkids moved in with us.  She got clean and as we have now found out, started using again about a month ago.  What tipped us off was money missing from our bank account.  We had her arrested and her parole officer says she will go back into rehab or jail.  We are going for custody of the kids, we are their guardian now.  They kids are our priority and our daughter is the only one who can choose to make a change in her life.  She will need our continued prayers.

God can make good come from even the most evil situation.  We will find the good here too.

May God bless

Jim

 Hello all,

Another quick sip before bed, Decaf please.

Charlie -Congratulations,

Brent-Wow, that could have been much worse.

Brutus- Good news, keep up the pressure. They may try to delay.

Phish- continued prayers

Anjdevil- a good Mom is hard to keep down.

Started picking corn. Crop seems well but a touch on the moist side. about 25% picked and the crib for our use is full. The rest is cash.

Beef went to the butcher yesterday. I'm in the market for four yearlings. Got to clean the freezer before next Saturday. There will be meat to wrap.

I'm off to bed

Prayers for all who may need them

The nurse's comment in the ER-"Power tools, right?" reminds me of a true story about my Dad. He worked 44 plus years for the NYC in the Track Department. He and the crew were working on a turnout at a junction when he managed to do a major number by smashing his thumb.

The nurse said, "Well Mr. Hazen, How did you hurt your thumb?"

Dad's response, 'I was cutting the nuts off of a frog."

The nurse asked no more questions!!!

Good evening all,

Normally I don't post at night, but there is too much news not to comment on.  Charlie, congrats on the new addtition!  That is good news indeed.  Brent, I'll take the over (+70) and thank God you were not hurt worse.  Thanks for the update.  Jim, prayers for your daughter.  That stuff is nasty to kick.  Believe me I know how dangerous it is.  Brutus, glad to hear some progress on your wife's situation.  I know there are some others with situations as well, but I can not recall them all.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Mid 60's and sunny here today.  I really enjoy this time of year.  Found it very hard to go back into the plant after lunch....

Brent - what some people won't do for a little attention and unusual clothing!  Take care of yourself while you are healing.

Super Streets - Detroit is already half way there with their turn right and U turn to go left system.

Congratulations Charlie.  'No childhood is complete without a train.'  I think you said this was going to be a C section.  Hope mom is doing well.

Lots of life's ups and downs lately.  Prayers for those who need them.

Good morning all,

It is cloudy, rainy and cooler in SE Indiana with temps in the 40s.  Watched "V" last night.  I will give it a few more weeks before deciding "Yea" or "Nay" on it.  It does have some hotties on it.  I had bran muffins on the dining car for breakfast before sending it to "Points East".  Eleven touches with the soccer ball again last night.  Have to work on consistency.  TBIL.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornning.  Crisp morning but warming.  Haircut and 4 Runner emissions/safety inspection.  Now go renew plate and one for Ranger trailer.  New thing in NC.  Have to have inspection done just before renewing plate.  Off to gym right now.  Then go to Lowes.  Paying neighbor [he has been approved for SS disability without a lawyer] to help get up leaves [mainly to let him earn his financial assistance from me].   Good guy.  Keeps garden going all summer.  Disked it up and gave him turnip seeds and fertilizer.  Got a good crop of turnips and spinich going.  Even though he can not have a regular job due to his wound [from home invasion being shot] still not healing, he will still get out and do things.

Good Morning,

Supposed to cool off some in the next few days, get down to 67 overnight and near 83 for a daytime high, instead of 76 overnight and near 90 for a daytime high. Still unusually warm for November here in south Florida. Maybe my air conditioner will get a chance to rest a little bit this weekend.

Also heard that FPL is supposed to give back some to customers because of overcharging for fuel in the past year or two, was on the news last night. I may get a $45.00 refund on my electric bill.

Have been over to the Bachmann website to order some parts for my Williams trains, not everything listed on the website will let you order it, the little order it box is missing.

Also having a problem with my MTH PS-1 tender uncoupling by remote. Looks like a trip to Miami to Ready To Roll may be in order to see if they can find out what is going on with it.

Tried running my Williams GP-9 with a set of older Williams passenger cars and had a wire come off of the light socket and short out. Looks like I have to solder some wires back on very soon.
