Good Morning all,

NE Ohio is cool and quite for now, temp at 35. Radar shows lots of SNOW on its way.

Some area had snow last night, but not at our house. Last night we took a short drive to look at some of the holiday lights. Our area sure is dress up for it. I love it.

Buckeye- you better get your wife the sweater and the engine.

All be safe

Mroning all. Slept late. Needed too. Did not get any sleep the night before. You YAM DANKEES sent your cold air down here. [:(] Been walking in shirt sleeves and was in the 70's last week. Now it is COLD. Our weatherman did research on the "old wives tale" that if it thunders during Dec, Jan, and Feb in NC, it will snow within 10 days. The past reflected that it did 60% of the time. Well, we had big thunderstorm Thursday AM. HUMMM Do hope you all have a great day and God bless all.

Well Chief – It’s now snowing in Willoughby, the Cleveland news shows it snowing pretty good there. Weatherlady just said that we may have 10” in some area (like just east of us) by Tuesday. Torpedo and I will be sure to send some down to you. [}:)]

When we want a "White Christmas" we take a short drive up to the mountains then come back and have dinner out on the patio, unless of course it's to hot out [(-D].

Whoa Nellie!!!!! Since Doug is from Southern California and is just seeing the ads for the new Mustang, that would indicate he has not seen the real thing. [:0][:0][:0]

Here in the Rust Belt, I have seen them at several dealers and two of them on the highways in Buckeye Land. Wow! We have something before it arrives in California. This is a first![:0][:0][:0]

Sorry to barge in on you guys' club but I am from the same city as dougdagrump (San Diego) and I saw one of the new Mustangs in the parking garage of Horton Plaza 3 weeks ago. Blue and yes looks very nice. It got my attention.

If only railroad engine manufacturers cared as much what the styling of their engines were like. Here in SD the new LRV trolleys are designed to have Fiberglass car end panels that can be altered to change the styling. The same cars in a different city can have a totally different look. This seems like a good idea to get people more excited in public transportation as well as give as sence of place.

As far as cars, we in here CA got the Scion first by a least a year. So you all have yet to see what "boxey" really means. It is a car as designed by EMD.

Ah, 'lake effect snow' - enjoy it. We're on the wrong side of it. Very blustery here today. I can feel the house shake and the draft coming in all our badly sealed windows. I hope to complement my Girard station by suggesting to my wife that I buy all 'my' gifts from her to me - to save her time and effort. Hope she agrees!

What happend to the warm air. 74 last week and now highs in the 40's. Time to down some coffee and plan the day. Rough when you have to stay home. [;)] Have a good day and God bless all. [:D]

Good Morning All,

What a GREAT Morning in NE Ohio. SNOW Who would have guessed. I am glad that I have Vacation so I didn’t have to drive across Cleveland today.

Weatherman says we could have up to 10” by Tuesday night in the higher elevations. I’m glad I don’t live there anymore. We have about an 1” or so, just enough to cover the ground and cars. You Got to love it at this time of the year.

Pick of the Day

A nice day here - below zero with the wind - but right about freezing when in the lee (of a building or other large object). Those of you in Ohio or Indianan, take care of yourselves when shoveling snow. My wife is eyeballing the Christmas village that is permanently a part of the layout - I think she wants to display my paltry few buildings somewhere else in the house for the rest of the holidays. May you have a safe day today.

Good morning all!

Bright windy day here with temperatures heading towards high 20's tonight. Finally a bit of winter.

Spankybird - sorry I missed your post earlier in the weekend on the TIU setup. Something happened to my Linksys wireless router Sat and I did not have time to fix it until last night. Great phone support from Linksys. Got it resolved in about 15 minutes. Now why the router decided to park itself in the weeds I have no idea, but they must know as they knew exactly what to do.

Have a great day!

Regards,
Roy

Good Morning Everyone,

Beautiful day here but the wind is absolutely brutal, we've had gusts up to 60 mph all night and will slowly fade away today. Sure glad that it's dry and no white stuff. We spent the weekend working on the Ameri-Towne building fronts to place on styrofoam boards that have mountains in the background, bigger project than we thought--very labor intensive but I think the results are very cool. We will work on window dressings this week and hopefully have the final product by the end of the week.

Have a GREAT day.

Jon,

Nice work. I know what you mean. Painting and getting window/door frames done takes a lot longer than one would think. As your work shows - it certainly pays off.

Jon - building fronts look nice

Roy – Thanks for the help, it’s nice to have a second opinion. Like they say two heads are better than one. Sometimes three, if we also get RAK to join in.

So, I missed my mid life crisis and I've always wanted a fast convertible and now I could come up with the money, how good is the new Mustang? Every year I look at the Rt. 66 trip and say "it's time", I can't think of a better way to spend a couple of weeks without a schedule. My brother has the yellow Corvette (restored from the ground up) and he's always ready for a road trip....... now it's up to me. I doubt that I could ever afford a new Vette but maybe the Mustang, let me know what you think.

Dave, The poorman's Corvette was the Pontiac Fierro. If they hadn't scrapped the program they had a prototype, formula model with a turbo, that blew away the vettes during testing. I have a formula model that is an absolute blast to drive but as we tend to get older, [%-)], it is not the easiest of cars to get in and out of since it sits so low. Add in the fact that you can drive over a dime and tell if it is heads or tails makes the comfort factor very bad for long drives. [sigh]
Forgot to add, I have to agree with em about some of the newer cars. Kinda look like a shoebox on wheels.[:D]

Hi Guys,

Let it SNOW

So far we have about 6” and it is still coming. Just think, I live close to the lake, not even close to the snow belt. They have over a foot already and it is still coming.

The interstates are a real mess, I sure am glad I had the day off.

Went up to Kerr Lake [into VA] to insturct a buddy on how to winterize two boats. Good trip. Was 54 and windy there but up to 56 here. Suppose to be 42 for the next two days and windy. BURRR. Keep your snow. [;)]

I sure hope someone there in Rolesyville, NC offers to shovel the Chief's snow from his walk and drive. I don't want him out in this weather. If work did not prevail today, I would just head to Rolesyville and shovel his snow, drink some coffee and chat for a while around a warm fire in the stove. [:D][:D][:D] ( Sounds like a Rockwell painting.)

BTW, Chief, do you own a snow shovel? Have you ever read the operating instructions? [?][?][?][?][?]
