OK, who left the Censored [censored] oven door open ? We are well into the triple digits here, the A/C has run more this past month than it has the past 20 years. Will have to take out a second  to pay the electric bill. Dead [xx(]

Well, been working on making a movie for 2 weeks now !! Got this camera 6 months ago & just started playing with this feature. This is an experiment, hope it works. This is th about 2% grade on my generic layout !! Hope it works ! Just click on & have your volume on !!  I don't think it will be too good, as I didn't use a tripod & I think it's blurry !!

Doug, it's only in the 70s here !! Better move out our way !! Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]

Thanks, John

John, All I get is a still picture, no movie.

Mitch, I couldn't remember the name of the bear shop.  Yes it is huge, my first comment to my wife when we drove up to it was "how are they going to pay for this place selling teddy bears"  And in spite of the fact that we tried to help them do it on our one and only visit, I heard they were in dire straights.

It worked well and I really like that horn, wow--it sounds HUGE plus the chuffs have a nice cadence to them. Keep posting, the short clips are the best!

Thanks Dan !!  Some guys can get it  & some can't so far. That is a  Lionel Lionmaster with TMCC , it's one of the smaller & lower priced ones. It does look big in the movie ! I like the sound on it, but, so far, it hasn't given me any problems & the smoke took a while to come in real good ! I should have had the smoke on & the bell, too !

Thanks, John

John,

The best way to post video is in .avi format or Windows Media Player format.  Almost everyone can see these formats.

Just remember, John, you can honestly say that you do NOT have rug burns on your knees from running your trains.

Nice picture of a double-jointed switcher.

Evening all!

John, the .avi file format is an optional format you should be able to save the video from your camera. Check your manual and see if it helps. Liked the video. I was able to view it with no problem. BTW - someone forgot to turn the steering wheel on that switcher!

Been very busy and getting ready to head to Denver next week. Going to the LCCA convention as part of the trip.

Almost cold here today. Temp was 95, but humidity came up - so almost as miserable as the 100+ days.

From another look at that switcher photo, it appears it split a switch a ways back. A buddy of mine that works on the UP said this happened with a gondola in the Omaha yard years ago and the sideways gondola then took out a street overpass bridge pier.

They call it pickin the switch. I've done that once or twice on my smaller railroad. I'm thinking that the switch might have been either thrown when the switcher was passing or perhaps the points were not locked in very well. Appears no damage done; not much anyway.
