This is a friend's layout in HOn3 scale. He also runs O and S gauges, but building this gold mine mountain is his latest endeavor. The mountain is about five feet high.

Here are some photos for S gauge Flyer folks and Sturgeon-Phish in particular.

If you are familiar with Flyer S gauge you have seen or heard about their Circus set.

This is my engine and some figures I have picked up along the way.

This is one of the two animal cars that came with the set.

The truck and the animal cages are almost always missing and command an incredibly high price when original, sometimes in the $300.00 dollar range.  Mine were missing when I bought the cars, so I purchase some reproductions at $40.00 for the set, which at the time I bought them I thought was astronomical.

Being the eBay browser that I am I came across this item, and my jaw hit the floor. I'll post the picture here, and give a link to read the history of the item.

This little item, which is original and an unusual color never used by Flyer went for........$1,225.01.

Talk about blowing a train budget!

Great pics every one.

Have a blessed and relaxing Sunday

Here are some pics of the Inaugural run of WESTERN MARYLAND #25.

The "chop"nosed Gp-9 emerges from the WESTERN MARYLAND SCENIC shops at Ridgely,WV.

#25 takes on passengers for a special excursion train to Frostburg.

We finally meet.

NE style caboose under the Cumberland canopy.

Ninety minutes after the special left, #734 departs with the regular Mountain Thunder trip.

#25 basking in the sun next to the Frostburg Depot.

The highlight was a meet when #734 arrived at Frostburg.

Who says a bunch of "Trainheads" aren't a bunch of sentimental romantics. A young Navy guy who will be deploying very soon wanted to propose to his girlfriend, so what better place than the model rr museum:

The proposal and the engagement ring are on the hoppers sitting on the lift bridge.

Oh yeah, she said yes !

Good luck to the couple.

My ETD's installed.  Hard to get them when they flash as they flash so quick.  Can really seee them thought.  Only fault, can't couple the rear car with this truck installed.  So, no switching from the rear.

Scale MTH NS I beam car with plywood loads.  Bought last Sunday at Train Meet for $25.  Was new in the box.

Okay you all had a lot of great pics but this has to be the best one of them all for this group so far.
