Speaking of Beer......It's not a train , it's a plane.

It is hanging in my train room.............

Nice pics, guys!  I'll post something of my own later.  Sir James 1 sent me some hardcopy pictures to scan and here they are -- it looks like a great layout to me!

The bridge piers are in place.  Some minor adjustments and some green moss and they will be complete.

Here are my recent roster additions.  (Construction still going on, so forgive the mess)

MTH GP20 in NYC w/2.0 (Railking).  No, I haven't switched to the Dark Side Shock [:O],as I will custom paint this homely gal (thinking South Branch Valley), but in the meantime, I have nicknamed it DARTH.  BTW, this is the tunnel portal that 88 milled out for me in his workshop.  If you look closely, you might see that the right side is bevelled in to allow for the curved hidden track emerging into the crossing track.  Very pleased with the results, and I will be weathering it up before I plaster it in place.

Last week, fifey's-wifey bought me this wonderful B&O double-door boxcar, by Pecos River Brass.

Hi-Cubes NW #9604, UP #9606, and BN #9608.  All three are from '76, and I prefer these painted versions rather than the re-issued molded in plastic colors versions.

And another addition to my little one's livestock train, the orange Lionel Stable of Champions car #16682.

Nice beer refers there Tom!

Nice plane Chuck!

Buckeye excellent work on the bridge piers and abutements... we would expect nothing else.

Fife lookin' good. That black engine looks pretty nice! Sure it will look even better in a few months. Nice B&O boxcar as well.

88 - Was actually thinking to paint it NW to match my new "prize", but my research today has found that the N&W didn't get the Gp20 until 1981.  Not sure what to do...Confused [%-)]  May have to "proto-lance" on this one.

outside my office at Crystal City VA are lumps of marine styrofoam, some 3-4 ft thick. Before diving, get permission. I don't need any, btw.

saves you from doing layers of birthday cake, not as good as the pink or blue kind but you can make it work (if you don't believe me, I have photos of layout using this).

Those pictures all look great everyone.  Buckeye, I really like how all of that turned out.  I can't wait to see it again in person.

No, I didn't Doug. About 20 years ago, a guy I worked with, had a crippled daughter about 18 years old. She would take 18 beer cans and make planes out of them. They are all riveted together. The guy would sell them for 10 dollars each. Over a thousand were sold at Chevy. It helped pay for her medical costs. She was very talented.

real late this week but here is the haul from York:

Fife and I found this beaut while walking through one of the halls on Friday:

Finally found the NW Hi-cube, now just 3 more to go.

Have been looking for the C&O PS-1 boxcar, this is from a set breakup and most places are charging outrageous $$$ for it... I picked it up for a steal!

Found a Chessie PS-1 boxcar that I didn't know existed:

Picked up the GG Gantry Crane track... doesn't look too bad but will look better once I have the area ballasted and sceniced:

Also got some tree making material, ballast, electronics, animated billboards, and replacement parts... not too bad for 1/2 day work (and 1 hour on Thursday).
