@jabaat, may I make a small suggestion? Move the huge big black transformer on a seperate platform at the height of the underside of the layout, that way that big thing doens't take a prior position on your layout. It's so beautifull made and when I see that overall view, there is a huge big ugly black thing drawing all attention towards itself. If it is a bit lower in front of the layout, your landscape will show much better I think.

Thanks for the advice, Daan. It is unsightly, isn't it? I was considering painting it with invisible paint, but didn't see any at the hobby store. I like your idea better anyway.

Hello All:

As always, great stuff!  The Sunday pictures are always a source of inspiration for me as I continue taking baby steps toward my first layout.

Jim (jabaat) - Have you ever explained the meaning behind your RR's name?  Where does Jumijo come from?

Regards,

John O

Buckeye,

I have not seen the Polar Bear set that way before.  Another thing that I noticed is the numbers on the Coca-Cola cars are differant, yours has 1 & 2, my set has 3 & 4.  My set has the Polar Bear(first car) on one end & a baby Polar Bear and Seal on the other end, second car has a Polar Bear standing up with a Coke bottle leaning against a large Coke bottle.  I have added another trailer # 2  from another set to the Polar Bear set using the trailer bar that came with the handcar trailer set, a set of three trailers for the Kennicott Copper Company.

Lee, I looked at the other handcar set that I just purchased and it is number 3 & 4 and is just like the one you described.

The Jumijo R.R. (pronounced Joomeejoe) is named in honor of my three small children, Julia Michael, and John. I took the first 2 letters of each child's name and came up with Jumijo. I may be predjudiced, but I really like the name. It's a keeper!

The Saint Mary River winds and flows through and around the town of Jumijo, NH. It's named after the boss of the whole gang! Nyuck nyuck nyuck!!!
