Friends are coming to our place for New Year's Eve tonight. I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast before sending it to "Points East". TBIL. I hope everyone has a good day.

They offered free wine sampling while waiting for a table which was kind of nice. Doug, yes, the West Shore Line was from the terminal in Weehawken, NJ (right across from lower Manhattan), where the ferries dropped people, etc. off and ended at Bear Mountain, NY. From there, it could pick up the line to Albany, NY, or any number of connections.
Well, we had a couple of cases cancel today, so I got out early, however, I will start call Monday and so we will have to contend with those cases then. At Least I have off through the weekend and hope to have a great New Year. While I am at it, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone here on the Pot. May God Bless each of you and your families.

OK, I'm back with some photos from the NJ trip. Hope they come out here. I decided that since this semi train related, I'd keep it here, but also, since a new thread will be started tomorrow, it will not cause too much problems with the bandwidth.

Pat, no freezing here. Very warm and damp but not raining. Was foggy earlier around noon when I got in.
LAZ, only 4 shots and got sniper scope zeroed to hitting the bottom of the X at one hundred yard. Now suppose to compensate for bullet drop to 300 yards for .17 HMR and my bullets. Also set windage [was what was off a little after mounting] to zero. Then I can "dial" windage changes. It also changes focus [a dial on the left of the scope with distances marked] for each distance you dial for range. Duplex crosshairs.
Buckeye, the three bay hopper car is loading for next Christmas. you'll get more than one lump
Will be here tonight to start a new Pot. Wifey wants to go to early sale at Stien Mart tomorrow AM and then go to the lake house.
Can't buy anymore firearms as safe is now full [since so many have scopes, takes up more room]. BTW: my pilot buddy and firearm expert says Ithaca double is worth at least $700. Good buy for me.

Its been an interesting last week of the year for me. I had a stent installed Tuesday afternoon. What was initially thought to be minor blockage ended up being a 98% blockage. Someone up there was watching out for me and gave me enough warning signs before a heart attack that could have happened at any moment.

You are exactly right. God bless. I had by-passes in Nov 04. Found doing CT on chest and then other tests. No heart damage and that is what I said too. God is looking out for me. Glad you are doing OK.
Roger, now be a good boy and make sure you take your Plavix. At one point, they used to tell patients that they could stop after a while, but too many in-stent stenosis have been reported. Take your medicine and just watch out as it will make you bruise easily. Great to hear that you got a new lease on life. Stay healthy friend.

God watches over all--I had a heart arrythmia found here just a few years with me. After a couple of fainting spells I finally got the thing diagnosed and now I'm doing better with it.

Been a long time since I last posted. Been a very busy year. Daughter graduated high school in the spring and is off at the local junior college. Son is a junior in high school and just got his drivers license. At least I got to see several of you at the spring and fall Yorks this past year.

Well an update to neighbors shot on the doe, he GOT IT found it this morning and cleaned it and draged it out before I had 3 neighbor ladies driveways shoveled of sno hi o. Bravo to TOM BOWMAN, first one with a FLINTLOCK MUZZLELOADER!!!! I went out today and found at least 50 turkeys running in front of me shot and watched them all fly away. Reloaded and sat for 3 hrs. NO DEER oh well maybe tomorrow, for my 53rd?

Quiet day today, working on an Atlas building kit. Saving the energy for the museum tomorrow, 5am alarm clocks are the pits.
Yesterday was cold & rainy all day, just plain miserable to go anywhere. Today was just gorgeous, nothin' but blue skies and lots of sun. Oh, did I say it was really warm.
The last of the Christmas company visited last nite, they have an 8 y.o. who is an absolute trainnut. He had lots of fun running the Christmas Trains but you should have seen his eyes light-up when I put my SD-40, Desert Victory, on the Christmas tracks. Gave him a quick TMCC tutorial and he was off-n-runnin, he's one of the very few kids I've never had to tell to slow down. Think it kinda knocked his dad's socks off as well, gave his dad the CTT edition with the "underbed rollout layout".
Oh yeah, just one more thing,

Getting cooler in SE Indiana. Had a nice evening with family friends. Doug M., I think you will like the Sherlock Holmes if you see it. No Jeremy Brett, but still a good job. Some critics panned the lack of character development of the villian, but it is leading to a sequel with Moriarity, who was a "real" Holmes villian. Dennis W., since you are off the rest of the week, we will swing by and pick you up for the Tardis run tonight. Even the "good doctor" needs some R&R from time to time and you can have a conversation with Doctor Who himself and may be compare medical notes. Chief, not sure if I will stay up to welcome the New Year on the 'pot with you or not. If I do not, I wish everybody a Happy New Year!
Well, meant to get back on around 9, but we were playing Super Mario Brothers on the big tv - son kicked all our rear ends - he knows all the tricks Oh well, we had some fun. Now we're watching him and teasing him when the turtles get him - ha!!!! Good Wii game, but I don't understand the controls. Screen is lit up and we can use the wayback circuit to go back and get the rest of the guys, then go forward and follow the new year all the way around the planet if we want!
