Ray, A belated congratulations and blessings in the future to both of you. We are only eight years behind.

Anjdevil, A forced relocation is never fun. Aren't relocation costs deductible? The good news is that you will be near the LHS in Broomall. I know, like mee when I visited there a few weeks ago, all I did was fream. It will work out.

Fortunately, this is a move that keeps me in the company and I could take it or just stay here.  Nice thing would be that I'd actually be near Just Trains (in the Christiana Mall!) and, again NO sales tax.  Just need to think it through and ask for guidance.  Something will happen, just not sure what or when.  Gee, I'd be closer to YORK of all things.....and the land of basements.

anjdevil - As much as you long to be close to Jersey, and as nice as it would be to see you on a regular basis up here, I'd say "NO" under those circumstances.  Cost of living higher, taxes higher, and crime way higher.  The grass is browner up here, not greener...My 2 cents

That is true for anywhere above the M&D. WhistlingLaugh

Back from lake.  Lucy and I stayed extra.  Both came home tired.  [she is curled up in her little pink bed]  Got a lot done and came home with all my fingers and toes with no stitches. Laugh  I'm going to start Coffee Pot number 14 as do not plan on staying up until midnight to start it.

Buckeye, get well.

Sir J., delayed reaction GRITS.  [had them specially done just for his shipment.  will explode in a few days.]

Guess what?  It rained today and tonight.  Guess what it is going to do Wednesday?  You guessed it.  Well, at least it isn't Snohio.

75 emails to read.

 Hello all,

Busy weekend,

Belated congratulations to Ray & his Mrs. on their 50thThumbs Up

Not much on the train front. I did win a vintage Varney PRR flat on E-bay. Decent price too.

That over night brine soak sounds good. I may have to try it.

Been busy farming and hunting. I didn't even see a deer today but my son got a nice 8 point. That's even better than me getting on.

The sleeper car is calling. It's been a long day.

Prayers to all who need them.

Frost on the windshield this morning.  Turned out to be a sunny day in the 50's.

Took my wife in for a lumbar epidural steroid injection treatment today.  All seems to have gone well.  Results of the treatment should begin to show up tomorrow or Wednesday.  In the common language, the doctor injects steroids into the offending disc to reduce whe swelling and relieve pressure on the nerve, all guided by a fluoroscope.  In even more basic language 'you are going to stick that needle where and do what???'  We are expecting two more treatments over the next six weeks.

My turn at the doctor's tomorrow, at the company's request.  Ear exam.  I'll be told that my hearing is deteratoring and that I probably have tinitus - as if I have not noticed.  Hearing loss runs in my family, and I'm about at that age where it starts.

Brutus - it is not a big job.  It is just a 95 year old house with 'character'.

Got the turkey carcas cooked down into broth.  Looking forward to the turkey rice soup.  We haven't made any in a long, long time.

No train activity, though I am planning to prepare something for this week's SPF.

Later all.
