The hobby demanded it! Menards supplied it.

One of the most often requested additions to the Menards building line has been a brewery. The Wisconsin-based home improvement chains delivered with a hometown hero of sorts: The Sprecher Brewery. Based in the Milwaukee area, it was the city's first craft brewery, arriving on the scene in the 1980s. The company started in an old industrial building and later built a new brewery and visitor's center. The company is actively involved in community events and often makes special commemorative beers for the occasion.

The model is a four-story building with large industrial windows, loading dock, roof-top water tank (with flashing warning light), and pumps to ensure ample water for the brewing plant.

Mounted topside is an illuminated Sprecher emblem that illuminates sequentially. The loading dock has workers and outbound cargo, as well as Jack on duty as watchdog.

The rear has a removable wall to run trains through the structure.

For illumination the factory requires a Menards 4.5 volt power supply, Menards SKU 279-4061, 279-4062, or 279-4050. You may wish to consider the no. 279-4681 9-piece Plug & Play accessory kits to serve multiple structures and vehicles. All are available separately.

The building costs $99.99 and is available through www.Menards.com/Trains. Be sure to opt for free shipment to your local Menards store.

The Sprecher Brewery will quench the thirst of your train town residents - be it for beer or soda pop!

The Sprecher brewery is busy, reading for the morning shipment of cases and kegs.

Internal and external lights, a flashing tower light, and an amazing light, flashing in sequence, crown the model.

The large factory-style windows will help illuminate your city in the dark.

Breweries use lots of water and the Sprecher's plant has plenty of pipework.

The Sprecher logo celebrates the firms commitment to German-style beers as well as seasonal favorites.
