B&O! of course Pennsy comes close second, but I have lived near former B&O tracks most of my life, and love hearing stories of the early B&O, and the B&O in its glory days. In fact, Brunswick Maryland (Where I am now) was pretty much started by the B&O, and is said to have held the B&O's largest yard complex (possably the largest owned by a single company in the world at the time) for a while, back near 1900. Around 1987, CSX ripped out the 8 mile yards and built a smaller one, then tore down the old Roundhouse in '96. It was a sad day when the roundhouse came down....

Well, I guess I went off too far, so to put it shorter, B&O!

Just about any of the Eastern roads before WWII. I guess if I had to choose only one, it would be the Pennsy.

How about before CSX? How about even before Chessie System? How about before most any other railroad? Well, I'm not that old, but I did work for the B&O while it was still: The Baltimore & Ohio.

ANY ONE that was around BEFORE the MEGA MERGERS took place. NOT BNSF, and NOT UPSP. This would have to be before 1980 and before that would be even better.
