Never too old to have a happy childhood!
A full week after the service suspension and NOT A SINGLE CAR has been repaired and ready for service.
Deplorable!

Your link shows a couple have been repaired. Just not "safety certified" whatever that entails.
It's been fun. But it isn't much fun anymore. Signing off for now.
The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of my employer, any other railroad, company, or person.t fun any
Some pictures of the 2 problems and a solution would be imformative.

For whom?
Me, for one.
The initial reported problem was some nebulously trotted-out 'puncture hazard for electrical conduit'.
Which, apparently, 28 cars had failed inspection for as of 12/16/23. I'd like to see exactly what this 'puncture hazard' involved, and where on the cars it was critical.
Without saying as much in the 'collateral' the inspection was quietly extended to the 'intercar connectors' (which is the second thing) and here, too, I'd like a technical discussion of the issues and what will be done to remediate them and then prevent recurrences.
The interesting part about this is the note not to try to ride cars you see "operating". I was tempted to tease the Far West Catonsvillagers about just what prompted that...
In any case, they say restricted operations will resume when 8 cars have passed inspection, and full service with 19.

Table shows THREE elements that have to be accomplished before the cars are 'safety certified'. No cars have completed all three elements.
At 3:20 on the 18th, they show that 10 cars pass inspection of both the conduits and the connectors. That is two more than the minimum number they give to restore rail operation.
I wish someone would explain just what the final 'safety certification' requires, and when and how it's going to be conducted. But it might be relatively quick now that a required number of cars have passed repairs.
As of 1430 12/20 - 18 cars are shown Completed, however, none have been 'safety certified' and placed in operation.
Theere has been no indication why so many cars with broken conduits. Find and Prevent in future whatever caused breaks. But also make conduits stronger for more protection. Of course if someone dropped ball why tell truth?
This post originally got a 403 forbidden. Only problem was 2 spaces between sentences. Grammer police after us.
two spaces must equate to the broken conduit. I use two spaces.
14 have been safety inspected and are available for service.
