The Harlem line is running as far north as Goldens Bridge. I wonder where they are storing all the trains at the end of the day since the Brewster yard is beyond. Few sidings and probably not all powered.
MNRR has almost everything restored except the outer end of the Harlem line today. Appears that the bug-a-boo is as usual trees.

NY MTA took a few hits but nothing too bad. Several trees and other debri that shut it down yesterday. Did not check NEC yesterday but it is running OK today. News reports do say that almost as many persons have lost power in the NE as did for "SANDY" That may be why we have not received any reports from posters living there.

Less than 48 hours before Isaias passes abeam of NY City and nothing yet posted about what all of NY MTA, NJ Transit, and Amtrak are going to do. Let us hope that this is not going to be a repeat of the non preparations that occrred before "SANDY" ? ? ?
A local weather guesser showed on projected path for the storm to come up the Cheaspeake Bay and continue on North.
Never too old to have a happy childhood!
98 originated at JAX going north today.
The latest National hurricane center track has Isaias center going up the east coast just east of New York city Tuesday Afternoon. Full moon is late Monday - Tuesday morning a repeat of "Sandy" ? Hopefully Isaias will change course and / or become weaker than Sandy.
Has anyone heard of any preparations by NJ Transit, Amtrak, LIRR, MNRR or NY MTA ? Or are all of them going to wait until Monday to do anything? This poster feels we were remiss in not getting the word out of how seriousness Sandy could be before she hit. Hope someone can push awareness on the various rail operators this time ?
