In your opinion how do fare prices and pass prices on GO compare to those of American commuter systems like Metro-North, Chicago's Metra and New Mexico's Road Runner? a.s.

With our respective dollars near parity that sounds about right.  Depends on distance, of course, but I would guess the average in Chicago (Metra) is about $80-120 for a monthly pass (5 - 20 miles).

I currently pay $93.15 to Metra for a monthly ticket between Zone A (CUS) and Zone D (16-20 miles).  All ticket prices are based on zones of roughly five miles each.
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

A look on Google reveals that GO Transit has purchased 27 of them.

I wish Amtrak would purchase this locomotive to their fleet. I am not a fan of the Genesis locomotive. What do you think?

The MPExpress line of locomotives was designed by MPI with suburban service in mind.  Conversely, the Genesis locomotives were designed with input from Amtrak's engineering department so they are probably better oriented to intercity service.  Besides, Amtrak has a surplus of power so I don't see any motive power orders in the near future.

PAUL:

What is the cost of the unit? Once again, thanks for the information. I was just curious that alot of commuter rails are purschasing this locomotives. I think it would be logical to use them for long range passerger service.

Amtrak may have a surplus of motive power, but surely it also has a shortage of assignable day coaches?

When I worked at TTC, I worked on the MP-40 prototype during its testing neat power, except for the acert Cat HEP.    It was GO 600
