For color photos Steve Goen's Cotton Belt Color Pictorial is probably the best. Goen used a number of R. S. Plummer photos to illustrate early Cotton Belt diesels. It is out of print and costly to come by. Joe Strapac's Cotton Belt Locomotives gives a detailed locomotive history of the subject up to the mid 1970s.

I'm needing for modeling purposes to find a book or a source for Cotton Belt Diesels in color before the SP merger. Anyone care to recommend anything?

Thanks in advance.
