I'm needing for modeling purposes to find a book or a source for Cotton Belt Diesels in color before the SP merger. Anyone care to recommend anything?

Thanks in advance.

The following links may be resources for your search of things Cotton Belt and or Southern Pacific.

Hope they get you pointed towards the answers you seek; Also you might check Wikipedia's site for information on SSWRR and Cotton Belt.

Good Luck with your search!

For color photos Steve Goen's Cotton Belt Color Pictorial is probably the best. Goen used a number of R. S. Plummer photos to illustrate early Cotton Belt diesels. It is out of print and costly to come by. Joe Strapac's Cotton Belt Locomotives gives a detailed locomotive history of the subject up to the mid 1970s.
