I suggest Lower Bailey Road in Newport, PA, Thompsontown, Millersville, Mifflin, Lewistown, Mt Union, and Tyrone.. Get a copy of the DeLorme Pennsylvania atlas, and it will give you a good idea where the railroad lines in central Pennsylvania.

I've had a total of 4 back surgeries, which has finally forced me to close my business, and back off of 15 hour days. So.... I would like to do more railfanning and photographing of trains. Other than the school of hard knocks, where can you find schedules, frequencies, and general place to go, and those were you will be thrown out of. I live in Lancaster County, PA. where we have NS,still lots of CR painted stuff, and Amtrack. Several trains a day on the Old PRR Keystone Corridor from Philly to H-burg. We also have the Strasburg RR and State RR Museum. My Real interest is in the R&N ( Reading & Northern ), I'm a coal cracker at heart, and do make it to Schuylkill county, Port Clinton, and Reading. And my Wife has relatives in Marysville so after I show face I head off to Enola or the Rockville Bridge. I just don't know the best times to when and where. And never find the observation bridge people talk about in Enola. in Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Dave Reply Edit Join our Community!
