I still like the black BNSF lettering with yellow outline but I do like that they added black under the yellow stripe on th bottom of the nose unlike most of their DASH9s with orange under the stripe.

I can't tell if you guys are just trying to maintain a sense of optimism or what, but I think the new BNSF logo is nasty. It's tacky. It's everything a cheap sneaker bought at wal-mart could hope to don. Yuck. Remember the day when railroad logos used to look classy? Somebody needs to tell the guys over there in fort worth that railroads don't need space-age looking logos. That logo would look fitting on a u.f.o., not a locomotive.

I truly love it just to hear other people complain about it.
If any RR should ger a new Paint it should be the UP!
That old ugly Yellow is sure getting very "OLD".
Yellow has no class.

When the UP is clean, I don't think there's a current paint scheme thats better. At least on Class 1's. The Arkansas and Missouri is absolute class for smaller lines. I guess its personal preference.

I agree, I think the U.P. should get rid of the yellow but keep the grey with a scarlet red nose and hood ends, and maybe a little speed lettering would be nice.

Its better than green and orange, its sort of a jazzed up Halloween color ala SP or Milwaukee Road colors
