Wildwood Academy

The tuition for the 2019/20 school year is as follows:

Tuition for 2019/20 School Year: $10,500

You will have the option of establishing a payment plan that will have equal payments of $2,000 deducted from your account starting on August 1st and ending on January 1st.

Sibling Discount: Siblings of Wildwood students will receive a 10% discount (enrolled concurrently in the same school year).

Our Tuition vs Public Schools: The tuition for Wildwood is less than Oregon pays per student (K-12), $10,442. We will always strive to keep our tuition at, or below, the statewide level. Please see this link for more information.

It is all about the Benjamins - who has them and who wants them.

Sounds like a license agreement more than an easement and somebody is in breach of contract. (Things the newsworker would not understand)

Anybody notice the math error? ... The academy charges $10,500, but the state pays $10,442 per student, yet the academy claims they charge less.  Granted it is only $58, but still the academy charges that much MORE than the state.

Unless you pay $2,000 per month, then you pay from Aug 1st to Jan 1st, that is 6 months so you pay $12,000.

If this kind of math is taught at the academy, I would not consider sending children there.

You have to do this sometimes to enforce property rights.   I think I would side with the railroad, though the railroad could have taken the case to civil court first instead of attempting the blockade.

Don't forget - Oregon residents are already paying the taxes that lets the state pay $10,442 in addition to the amount they will be paying the Wildwood Academy....

Mathmatical justification is not a strong point of the Wildwood experience.....

Wildwood has made attempts to come up with a rental agreement for the parking spaces at the same rate as the Hood River Hotel, which rents a section of the lot, but the railroad wanted to charge Wildwood more than Hood River Hotel’s rate, Huntington said.

“It’s really frustrating. We’ve tried to make a deal with them to rent the parking, but they don’t want to rent the parking,” said Huntington, adding that there have been a lot of “reasonable deals” — including an offer to set up paid parking meters in the lot — that the railroad rejected.

Sounds like they are willing to rent it, just not for free because 'it is for the children' ...

Mathematics is not a strong suit of most Oregon residents.
