your plans for the season.
Posted by jfb on Sunday, October 21, 2018 7:52 PM

To start with i collected the last pieces for my layout this summer and rail fanned . I am fully functioning my completed layout this winter. I added a few buildings and painted the l cars this fall these were the remaining things needed. I have 5 amps for all of my districts and 2 to 3 amps  for the remaining ones. I have around 4 amps to

run 2 to 3 trains at all times. I also picked up the needed power in the spring. So what are your plans this year.

You'll get much more meaningful responses if you post this in the Model Railroader forum...

I plan on working.  Except the week I'm on vacation.

It's been fun.  But it isn't much fun anymore.   Signing off for now.

Some time in December I'll be dragging the Christmas tree layout boards out of the "Chugger Barn" and setting them up in the living room of the "Fortress Firelock"

Damn things keep getting heavier each year.  Can't imagine why.

everything takes time i know the feeling. I try to limit my unused time for the layout in the past and now for running sessions as i stated above. the winter is a perfect time for building the layout. I also work around the football playoffs in january and get back to it around this time late october and november before the usaul december thing family and holiday shopping. I set goals for the next 4 to 5 weeks so i am fully ahead and ready to go with limited time in january for the playoffs and superbowl. This allows everything to be balanced out and be completed.

Polar Express.  Hopefully not clearing a lot of snow.  Maybe a long winter's nap.

Hoping my daughter is healthy enough that she and her family can come up here from California.  She's undergoing radiation now, but that will be done by the end of this month.

Once she's up here, we'll play it by ear.

Thanks for asking!
