Two things:
1) Wedding parties on RR tracks have had dire consequences in the past. 100% irresponsible...you would think one person would raise an objection.
2) Can't let this pass.."i" must be capitalized otherwise a person comes across as being illiterate, which I'm sure you are not. It is an easy error to make, but it is important.
Easy typo to make. Some nights I'm so beat I fumble-finger all over the posts I want to make and have to back up and correct spelling, punctuation, capitalization, you name it, just like Sister Sherman Tank from my Catholic school days is looking over my shoulder.
And then I just say "It's not there tonight" and give up.

A lot of that going on up in New Jersey, that is, pedestrian strikes by NJ Transit trains. It's at the point now that when I see a story like this on the North Jersey paper websites I yell out "We've got another one!" and Lady Firestorm asks "Where THIS time?"
Sad.
Reminds me, just about a year ago Lady F and I were eating in a restaurant in Ashland VA called "The Trackside Grill" (Great place, by the way) which is right next to the CSX tracks that bisect the town. There was a mixed group of young men and women standing on the tracks for a group photo. Prom night. Lucky for those folks you can see the trains coming a long way off, but it was still foolish to be there.
Anyway, I don't want anyone who's grammar isn't quite up to snuff to be scared off from commenting here. If they have something to say or a question to ask I want to hear it, I'm sure I can figure it out.

Periodically I have to fix it in that time-tested Microsoft fashion by wiping out the preferences and rebooting, but who has the time, let alone the patience, to deal with this kind of incompetent imbecility?
You will note in some of my prior posts that I, perhaps the stickliest grammarian/rhetorician here, don't always 'capitalize I' at the beginning of body paragraphs. That is crApple, not me, and I have to note that it could well be a crApple artifact or the equivalent that is putting those i's in lowercase in his post. Yes, it's right to call them to his attention ... in a PM. Don't out him as though he doesn't know.
Could be. Siri loves playing tricks. Texting is particularly treacherous with words not even remotely close or associated with what was entered being substituted. It can make for some amusing and sometimes very dangerous texts.

Among the downsides of texting is that grammar of all sorts goes out the window. Capitalization, punctuation, even full sentences. I read somewhere that texting with the queen's English is considered uppity by some.

As for the supercomputers - my first PC (TI-99-4A) had 16K of ram. WooHoo!. I was thrilled to add a 40 Mb hard disk in my Tandy 1000SX. No more booting from floppies.
Even the IBM 370 I worked on years ago had less power, and memory (including the dozen hard drives) than my current phone...
As for trespassing - our local paper printed a photo of a woman walking in the gauge on her way home from somewhere. My letter to the editor pointing out the error of her ways was met with an amazing amount of vitriol.

I do think there should be some directed outreach by the Operation Lifesaver organization (or other recognized 'industry' source) specifically to professional photographers about the dangers of shooting on or near tracks. A problem is that as soon as you start with practical safety measures like don't put your foot on a rail or stand in the gauge you've tacitly accepted they can be shooting there in the first place ... counterproductive in the ways those countdown timers in walk/don't walk lights turned out to be.

You could probably find a 5.25" or two around, but they haven't been touched in ages. It's getting so even the 3.5" floppies are next to useless. Most laptops these days don't have a drive for them.

Good for you Thomas, you did the right thing.
12. The passive voice should never be used.
13. To intentionally split an infinitive is usually poor grammar.
14. Splitting a phrasal verb because you mistake part of it for a preposition in #2 is something up with which we should not put.
