Correct on not bothering w/reading the NTSB report. Never know what the Feds will or will not tell us.

The NTSB did not note the engine numbers concerned (6 engines on one train, 4 on the other was all the power detail they noted).  I don't know if the old LocoNotes had detail on the units involved at the time.

In 1998 KS Southwestern Ry had a derailment @ Geneseo, KS of which two engs in their fleet were destroyed.I'm trying to find which engs these were. I believe it might be 4912 & 4916, but cannot confirm this. Any leads or sources on where to find data of this would be of help.I have read the NTSB post-accident report. I do not need a link or access to the document.
