For Jay: When do we eat?

Boston Charlie is from what was IMHO (with apologies to Far Side fans, of which I am one), the best comic strip ever - Pogo.

Now, let's head to the diner, consume mass quantities, and all sing

Deck us all with Boston Charlie
Wlla Walla Wash., an Kalamazoo
Nora's freezin' on the trolley
Swaller dollar cauliflower, alley-garoo!

Don't we know archaic barrel,
Lullaby, Lilla boy, Louisville Lou?
Trolley Molly don't love Harold,
Boola boola Pensacola hullabaloo!

Best wishes to all - see you next yr.

We'll close with a few choruses of, "Oh, what fun it is to ride on a New York Central train!"

work safe

Anybody knowing where that came from gets lunch at the diner on me.

CM3.

What a memory. I didn't even get the first line right. Oh well, I'll join you in lifting one to the memory of Walt Kelly and his pals.

When I was in school it was

Deck the halls with poison ivy; fa la la la laaaa la la la la
Tis the season to be naughty; fa la la la laaaa la la la la
Break a window, pop a tire; fa la la, la la la, laaaa laaa laaa
Set the teacher's hair on fire; fa la la la laaaaa, la laaa la la.

I guess there is many versus I don't know about.
