Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
Posted by cherokee woman on Thursday, December 16, 2004 5:39 AM
I know there are some students who are on the forums, and
others who will be going home for the holidays. Want to wish
you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! There will be
others on the forums who are only online at work, and their
work may be getting ready to shut down till the new year
begins. So:

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR
to one and all!!

Hey, Ohio! You are getting a very good football coach

Ohio University looks to be hiring the former Nebraska Football Coach - Frank Solich!
He's a class act and I hope you will like him as much as we did!

Congratulations!

youd like the team they are nicknamed the bob"CATS" and also they like to celebrate on weekends too.I truly wish for everyone to be able to take time and sit back and reflect on what CHRISTmas is all about. so tone up those vocal chords clean those instruments and have a safe Holiday season.

My family and I celebrate the birth of Christ, but many of our friends and aquaintances follow different traditions. And so we offer greetings of the season, with wishes for peace and good will among all people.

Isn't this great - you can e-mail holiday greetings to people all around the world and not have to pay postage or write the card! Or maybe this is just a female (and a few males) thing!

Well, Sis, I don't have mailing addresses for most of the forum folks, so we're kind of stuck with it.

The celebration of Christmas has started early this year in our family, due to the uncertainties of our jobs (i.e., whether our employers will want us to work on those days) and the impending arrival of our granddaughter. Our immediate family opened some gifts around the tree at my daughter's house last night. She hopes that she can provide one more gift before Christmas--the sooner the better, as far as she's concerned!

We'll also be celebrating an early Christmas of sorts at our church, with the unveiling of a remodeled sanctuary this Sunday (we'll have the traditional candlelight services on Christmas Eve--whether I can go depends on my work schedule; we'll probably have lots of sleighs--I mean, cars!--to hump that night).

Many people from both of our families will be coming down at various times during the week after Christmas (they're hoping to see the new baby--and in one case it will be a nice way to visit with relatives returning home from celebrations at other locales).

And today is the day I wish everyone at work a happy new year--because everything we earn from now on will be part of our 2005 income.

So we're celebrating from now until January--we'll keep the home fires burning for the most part, but our holiday greetings go now to those of you who have to leave us for a time. Enjoy, but stay safe!

Carl

Beside all the great fun of having a new child in the family, if the granddaughter arrives on or before the 31st, she should have a very nice check from the IRS to give to her parents. Her mother should speak to her, "Come along now, child."

All the best.

Just watched Pres. Bush making an address of TV tonight

He closed off by wishing everyone Seasons Greetings or something to that effect. Guess he's just being politically correct and doesn't want to ruffle any feathers.

What's wrong with saying Merry Christmas and Holiday Greetings

To all of you on the forum I wish you
a blessed CHRISTmas and seasons greetings

And a joyous Saturnalia to all, as well!

I would be remiss if I didn't ask one and all to be sure that you have a safe, and especially fire-safe holiday season. Nothing is as heart-rending as hearing of someone who lost everything, including their Christmas gifts, just days before the big day. Or someone who loses a family member for any reason that didn't have to be.

Please be sure that you can enjoy Christmas with your family in YOUR house, and that you will be with us next year, too.

Andrew-

It's: Deck the halls with Boston Charlie.

Anybody knowing where that came from gets lunch at the diner on me.

Be safe, be merry and be here next year.

If the train crew gets really lonely and the full scale train falls off the track under the really big tree, go wake up some other roadmaster for company . This one is marking off.[|)][|)][|)]
