This isn't even a funny prank.  It's not even mildly amusing.  It's just tragic.  You know those people that try their damndest to make a joke, but all you can do is shake your head and pity them while at the same time contemplating how remarkable it is they can survive every day life in the world we live in?  Yeah, that's what this fake news story is.

Reminds me of the cartoon in one of the model railroad magazines some years ago.  A couple of railroaders are commenting on the station wagon that is passing them with a full sized coupler mounted in the rear - "we'd better watch this one..."

Janesville Police search for stolen Train engine

Janesville,WI
Police are searching for a stolen locomotive that was taken by unknown suspects from the Wisconsin and Southern yard. Witnesses report seeing two white Male’s driving a rusted Ford pickup pulling a large trailer behind it enter the Five points yard near US 51. Security camera footage shows the two men loading a 1979 EMD SD40-2 locomotive on the trailer and fleeing the area.
