Thanks very much Semper. Very interesting.
Thanks very much for the reply.
I believe Gladstone is the only one left. The one at the Soo lasted until early WC times.

Looking at Gladstone on google stretview- appears to have a sand tower created in part from a 2-bay hopper. That's pretty cool.
It's been fun. But it isn't much fun anymore. Signing off for now.

Doublestack Are there any turntables remaining upper Michigan? Either active or in active? It appears from Google maps there may still be one in Gladstone Michigan. Not sure about Wells on the Escanaba and Lkae Superior, or places like Marquette or the Soo. Would appreciate any help

The E&LS roundhouse at Wells is serviced now by fan tracks. The Soo turntable and roundhouse at Marquette was active in the 90s, but they and all tracks have been removed and is now an industrial park. The LS&I TT and RH are gone, and the site is covered by the coal pile for the power plant.
I find 2 of the 6 in the UP in my Roundhouse and Turntable list as visible on Google Earth.

No tracks anymore (Google Earth shows a BOAT near the end of the turntable!) but the TT is still present.
