I'm jealous!  How come WE don't have any live steam railroads running through OUR stadiums?

Dammit, this is the United States of America!  HOW did we get behind the curve on this?

I didn't notice any frowns on the spectators either, did you?

I've heard and seen plenty of "television time-outs."

Now a railroad time-out...

What a great video!   Thanks for posting this.  I smiled all the way through, like everyone else.  I've never seen anything remotely like this!

Why don't we have this in the USA?    I know it's a facetious question, but the real answer is lawyers.  Lawyers & liability suits just about killed mainline steam fantrips in the US; just think of all the lawsuits this would bring in modern day American courts.

I often think when I'm in Europe that one or another of the things or experiences I'm enjoying there would never be allowed in our country because of......lawyers.

Good reason to visit Slovakia, though.

I have always said that Train Watching is the better sport... we fans don't need to have scantily clad women jumping up and down to keep the spectator's attention on the field...

Finally someone has found a way to get me to a team sporting event.

Couldn't hurt, though.

It's been fun.  But it isn't much fun anymore.   Signing off for now.

That would make soccer worth watching . . . . for a few seconds.

In a similar vein, there is a CSX main line that abuts Augusta National.

Real football is always worth watching, there's a lot less dead time than in American football (30+ seconds of nothing between 5-10 seconds of action).

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

The UP/CNW (very active railine, not just an occasional tourist/museum train) runs along one side of the football stadium for Wheaton College and Glenbard West athletic fields in Glen Ellyn.

Judging from the size of the crowd in the video, they could use a few more trains through there. Whistling
