I was going to say... WOW! A class 1 shutting down for an entire day! That is really odd.

The road to to success is always under construction. _____________________________________________________________________________ When the going gets tough, the tough use duct tape.

There will still be plenty of road trains.  Some yard jobs and locals my be anulled, but don't expect everything to stop.  On memorial day we were told we'd be shut down for 3 days, and all that happened were a few locals were anulled.  By the 3rd day everything was back to normal.

It's been fun.  But it isn't much fun anymore.   Signing off for now.

Yeah, I saw that notice there, too.

Glad I postponed a tentative trip to Horseshoe Curve - would have been a real bummer.  Sigh

Just to let every one know that,

In observance of the Independence Day Holiday, Norfolk Southern will curtail freight operations beginning 7:00 AM on Saturday, July 4, and resume normal operations at 7:00 AM, Sunday , July 5.  Interline gateways will remain open for traffic delivered from connecting carriers and passenger trains will continue to operate through the Holiday.

I got this from NS website, If you go July 3 It should be really busy.

It was the last holiday, letting you know before you go.

NS is the Best
