I still think you are better than 99% of the garbage on tv! But then, I don't watch tv, either.

Yeah, I might go over to the Roseville loco shop with camera in hand and visit with my buddies too. If I play my cards right ,I might even get to make a couple of hostling moves while I'm there. It pays to have friends in the right places.

Thanks again everyone for the nice thoughts. [:)]

I am thinking about going back to the larger bedroom and avoiding the bookshelf. [8D]

Sounds like a wise decision to me. [;)]

Marty [:)]

Sorry [:(] to hear about your hand. [V]

Does this mean some railfanning time is opening for you. [?]

If so, good luck.

If not, good luck too. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Jim: Bob and I have been gone for a few days. Sorry to hear about your injury! OSHA will be requiring that you wear safety shoes in your house from now on! Be careful that your bookcase doesn't file a lawsuit against you for injuring it with your toe!
Take care and hope you are feeling better!

Imagine that....a bookshelf that moves to bite toes....

Just like trains that go out of their way to strike vehicles at road crossings!

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

Oh, Jim.

Major bummer, dude. Try to be patient as it heels, and beware of angry wood products. They tend to win in the end.

Thanks all for the get well thoughts. [^]

I created a monster. [:0]

I actually built this bookcase. And what thanks does it return to me for giving it life? No wonder I don't have any snakes. Bookcases, snakes, what ungrateful creatures. [}:)] [;)] [8D]

Go to watch those book cases, they are dangerous when cornered.
I have been attacked by just about every object of furniture I own at one time or another.
Get well.

There is no such thing as a bad day of railfanning. So many trains, so little time.

Oh Rick! Groan.....

Jim - my deepest, no farthest down - yeah that's right - sympathies. I broke my little toe - it just wandered off and ran into a concrete downspout by itself - no help from me. That is so painful - sounds like what happened to you. That's why you must wear shoes all the time - so toes don't wander.....

As usual I went to work. While at work it hurt (wonder why?). [}:)] It hurt worse as the night went on. When I got home after work I checked it. It was beginning to swell pretty good then. It was also about 3 different shades of red and under the toe nail it was blue. It swelled more during the night. Late this morning I went to the doctor where they x-rayed it. He told me it was broken. So I am off work for a few days waiting for the swelling to go down and some pain to leave. I have a nice supply of pain pills. Maybe Dan and I should get together. We could have a pitty/pain pill party. [}:)] [;)]

And YES it does HURT. [:(]

DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME. [V]

Trust me on this one. [;)]

Sorry to hear about the injury ...Hoppalong [:)]

Psst.....I've been off the pills for a while.......I'm just naturally disturbed

I had a similar conversation with a chunk of firewood once. Got the little feller - think it broke, too. Jim - you have my wholehearted sympathies!

Oh Jim,

Communicating with immovable objects using your feet is always a bad idea, unless you have a black belt in some martial art.[banghead]

Hope no permanent damage was done.
