Just for that -Doubling the guard dogs at the border.[:D][:-,]

For the rest of you, locomotive engineers (In their nice dry cabs) named us after what we look like trying to work out in a muddy field, knee deep in muck trying to lay out where the next set of tracks go.[swg] Hoggers would lose their mind if you put a steering whell up on the control stand.......

Mookie was already taken....

DanstheRRman or DHHHtrainsplanesfiretruckswhipsandchains was too hard to type fast.......

I didn't want anything like zardoz that if you say three times fast while clicking your heels you end up in a square flat state like poor old Ed......

I thought about making it a railroad name like GG1fan or SDP40Fguy, but I haven't actually driven any of those except in HO scale.......

And the things I do drive are not really railroad related.......deskjockey, orionpylut or oldbeatupchevytruckheartedguy just didn't seem right.......

And since guys with state names weren't fairing too well publicly when I joined....I shied away from those.......besides if I used my home state I'd have to do it like this for obvious reasons...TEXAS

so I stuck to the simple, like the simpleton that I am.....d harmon

Been collecting movies long before I discovered the forums. Used rixflix in various dealings with Columbia House, Kine, Amazon, American Film Institute et al. Besides, it could be the name of the rental service friends keep telling me I should start. Currently the collection has about 400 titles, all movies I know I'll view several or many times and
75% classics. All the AFI 100 U.S. films, plus the best from Hitchcock, Ford, Griffith, Spielberg, Huston, Reed, Renoir, Chaplin, etc. The rest are mostly junk that I like including nearly all the railroad movies.

rixflix aka Captain Video. Blessed be Jean Shepherd and all His works!!! Hooray for 1939, the all time movie year!!! I took that ride on the Reading but my Baby caught the Katy and left me a mule to ride.

Tree started out as a sort of an insult by a short guy on my track team in high school. I liked it and have used it ever since. The 68 is the year I graduated from HS (oops - age showing...). I'm 6'5", BTW.

Well, the "Sask" part of my name is because I'm from the province of Saskatchewan.

"Tinplater" is a term which refers to someone who collects and/or operated old tinplate toy trains, which is what I am.

Same problem Dan had, you have to write it TEXAS and loco in the Lone Star sounded too close to the truth!
I have a hard time remembering my wifes birthday, or my kids, and needed something easy, like my own name.

I chose locomutt, mainly because the dog lies out here close to
the computer,and has the "affectionate"nickname of"mutt"
There are several "meanings" of loco,And I'm very sure several
people have made their own connections to that. ERGO "locomutt"

Hmmm

Welll you see I was going to choose somehting, well I like being in cabs and they often move forward, but dang it.. gone, couldn't have it.

So I had to play on words... people when they pass me at school say...

WHY WAS MY TRAIN SO DAMN LATE?

So that was too long, But one of my GF's freinds.. who is also female and well... NEVERMIMD END OF SENTANCE...
gotta remember now.. 4 stars... 4 stars.. good behavior GOOD BEHAVIOR!

She said to me one day... you know what... your like Kevins the RR man, your on every friggin train!

And that stuck with me...

KevinstheRRman
Thats how that came about.

Didn't we do this once before?

CShaveRR: First initial, last name, added "R" to make "Railroad", in case there were any other "CShaver"s out there.

But, as Locomutt may know, I guess I may have been notorious enough for long enough that it probably wasn't necessary.

P.S. Nora, I knew about the two cute little guys before...congrats on the locomotive!

I just felt a need to have something train-related in my signature! It's a work train crossing the bridge over the PA turnpike in the town I live in. [:)]
