[8D]When I was a kid,I had a large orange tomcat named Casper, who used to love to watch me run my American Flyer trains.[8D]My mom has three cats who love to "help"her with whatever she's doing. Cats Rule, Dogs Drool.

Someday I hope to have enough cats to name one after every class one railroad. By then there may only be one big class one with all of the mergers going on. If that's the case my cat would have to be named: Unionpacificbnsfnorfolksoutherncsxkansascitysouthern. That is one long name!!
[:D] Yeah and then call your cat "yo" for short!

Thinking about getting another dog soon, so I've been considering names. Chessie has come up, but I prefer SOO. If we get a boy dog I was thinking Innis (as in NS). Wisconsin Central doesn't roll of the tongue, and UP might get confusing when trying to housebreak the poor thing. Who knows maybe the girlfriend will decide on Spot.[^] She is the boss.

That's funny...c'mon UP...heeeeeeeeeeere boy! UP! Hope the pooch doesn't actually pee when called.[:o)]

SPecially when later you have to MoP UP or else you'll be knee deep NP
You gotta take this on the road! You are being wasted just working for Uncle.

When I got my puppy, a West Highland White Terrier, my brother jokingly said I should name her Chessie. We had a good laugh and I actually tried it out (though I'd already decided on her name weeks before I was to receive her). Needless to say she seemed decidedly unamused with being referred to with a feline's moniker--and 'Abby', as planned, became her name. I think if she could speak English for five minutes she'd probably tell me that I was a 'donkey's butt' for ever considering naming her after a cat![(-D]
Tell your DOG that Mookie's given name is ABIGAIL ANN or ABBY for short. She wouldn't answer to that, but did to Mookie - so now whose the donkey's butt? [:X]

Jen

PS - Good choice for a name, however!

Thanks for the feedback Mookie! When Abby decides to 'talk' to me about my lapse in judgement and taste ("The very idea, calling me Chessie! You worthless cur!", she recently barked out), I'll be sure to pass along your compliment.[(-D]

[8D] Chalk up another one for Willy2! I usually go back to the day before and read in order, but when I saw the title - after I quit laughing - I had to read you out of order. And the Mookie is never Out of Order! [}:)]

I have two cats. I was going to name one of them Chessie, but I decided to name him Sylvester (his middle is Chester, no not because it rhymes, but for Chessie).

Two cat's--Chessie and Scooter. Scooter AKA Mr. Purr.

"Mr. Purr
That's the name
That name again
Is Mr. Purr"

And as Linda Ronstadt sang,

"The Purr King is a loser and I think he is a boozer."

We just can't get Scooter to wear the 'Mr. Purr' jacket.

We once had a cat named Chessie as well, and one called "Traina".

The current cat ("Pookie" - rhymes with Mookie) likes to use the opening for the staging to get under the layout. Makes for an occasional tipped car or other chaos while I'm not looking. Eventually I'll get that closed down so she doesn't fit, but for now...
