When I got my puppy, a West Highland White Terrier, my brother jokingly said I should name her Chessie. We had a good laugh and I actually tried it out (though I'd already decided on her name weeks before I was to receive her). Needless to say she seemed decidedly unamused with being referred to with a feline's moniker--and 'Abby', as planned, became her name. I think if she could speak English for five minutes she'd probably tell me that I was a 'donkey's butt' for ever considering naming her after a cat![(-D]
