The new Rochelle webcam features a larger, real-time view of the diamond with sound.
Yes, I know, it took a while. Some even said we'd never get it done. But this month Trains Magazine's new and improved Rochelle Railroad Park webcam in Illinois is up and running. Yes, I said it: New and improved!

The new Rochelle webcam provides a larger high-resolution image, centered right on the diamond so you won't miss a train. And boy are there still trains in Rochelle, up to 100 a day! And with the added audio you'll have an easier time finding trains on the webcam, too. Just don't forget when you're at the park, the folks at home can hear you now!

Even though the towers have closed and the cabooses are retired, there is still plenty in modern railroading to get excited about. Railroads are busier and more profitable than ever, ensuring their survival for decades to come. Crude oil traffic is creating new traffic and run-through power opportunities, keeping the trackside view fresh. Best of all, distributed power has replaced the caboose with a "bonus train" for photographers. You can see all of these exciting changes, and much more, on the Rochelle camera!

To learn more about the park, go to www.rochellerailroadpark.org, and don't forget to check out the Trains Magazine guide to Rochelle, too!
