If your track is that old, I would throw it out and start with the Nickel-Silver track. I have an layout that was started 30 + years a go. I am going to DCC control and needed reliable track. I replaced all of the brass track work. My layout is a 4X6 that was strated when I was living in a moble home and that was the space available. I am using it to make my mistakes on flex track senciking and etc. I have plans for a larger layout in the not too distant future.

Life Like does make one, it's about 3" long. I don't use Power Loc anymore, but I did for a little while. One thing I did was trim the plastic back around the rails on the Power Loc track and removed the little brass connectors on the rails. That will allow you to use regular rail jointers to go to regular style track. One thing to be aware of is that the Power Loc track is quite a bit taller so you will have to support your other track and grade it down.
