If your track is that old, I would throw it out and start with the Nickel-Silver track. I have an layout that was started 30 + years a go. I am going to DCC control and needed reliable track. I replaced all of the brass track work. My layout is a 4X6 that was strated when I was living in a moble home and that was the space available. I am using it to make my mistakes on flex track senciking and etc. I have plans for a larger layout in the not too distant future. <br /> <br />John
