I've use "Printshop" program to make art work for decals. This programs main function is making greeting card, banners and the like. What I do is this. I choose the Blank paper format. Type a line of type the closeist font size to the finish size I want to serve as a size target. I then use the "Headline" tool, custom mode to print a block
with clear letters and a black background. I then
reduce the size of the block untill the letters are the right size.
It's easier than it sounds.

I hope this has helped.

HO scale printed Number Boards

I woud like to produce decals or stiky-back transparencies with numbers for installing over the face of the plastic number boards on my locos, most of which are Athearn models. I use Windows 98 and have several aplication programs.. I've tried Word97, but the 6pt font may be just a bit too large. I would like to have a black background with clear numbers. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
