Actually I think it's sort of common. I've seen a few. Many real-life loggers used swichbacks, which really work well in a shelf layout. This little logging shelf layout could be stretched and expanded to a longer shelf and there are a lot of variations possible on a similar theme. It's pretty tight just due to the very small space for HO and was intended more for display than operation. But a little ops would be possible
