Also please post a picture that is your favorite and give us some information about what you did in it. I personally love to see pictures so please show us some. I rate my scenicking skills a 8.5 out of a 10. I have plenty of great technics and skills. I really love doing scenicking and focus on detail to make a realistic looking scene. I will post some pictures as soon as I get them

As in "I think I am 8.5 out of 10 (85% perfect) and here's what I've done to iluustrate my skills". Some of us may have already proven our skills in a judged forum, by being awarded an NMRA Achievment Program certificate for "Master Builder Scenery". Been there, done that. Bob Boudreau

Anyone can say "I am a 10 out of 10", but who knows? If your skills were judged and certified though a standard national procedure, then you may have an idea of where your skills lie. And I think the word should be "cocky" BTW. Of course it's my work that I'm rating[8D]. But seriously folks, I feel I put more effort in to scenery than anything else. It's taken me months to do one corner of my layout, but it's going to be pleasant for ME to look at. As long as I'm happy with it, I don't care what some modeling judge has to say. When friends and family look at it and say Ohhh... Ahhh, then I know I did a good job. That's what really counts. Good luck, Dave GO GATORS !! But I do like to get others opinions. i like the constructive nit pickers. I actually did this a while back on the RailRoad Line forums. Some of those guys get pretty intense with their modeling. Do judge for yourselves, and let me know what you think. Click below. http://homepage.mac.com/cgwaldman/PhotoAlbum1.html Thanks in advance. Or Not?" Here is a shot from my home layout: And one from a 2x2 foot diorama, showing a bit more mountainside: I am more interested in city scenery than mountainsides, but buildings and streets still count as scenery. I don't consider myself an expert, but I consider myself pretty good at the basic skills of modeling and scenery. I don't need a NMRA commitee of old white men to tell me if its good enough or not. 10 out of 10 indeed. I have an idea of what I want in a particular scene and go to work setting it up. If it doesn't work, I tear it out or adjust it. Right now I'm adding to scenery I already thought I finished, but you don't really finish it, do you? Ideas change. I'm told that I'm really quite good at scenery and I appreciate the compliments. But like I said, I don't rate myself, I just work on it.
