Which railroad do you model?

I model the Southern Railway in 1975-present somewhere in the mountains. Or I will as soon as I get some track laid down.[|(]

All this is is track laid down on the roadbed and I see how slow I can get my locomotive to go.[sigh]

I do not realy know but i think union pacific. I have a 4-6-6-4 challenger 2 F9's so that makes more UP than any other.

I prefer smokey, sooty, oily, noisey steam, not picky about up, or bnsf, or any certain railroad,I'm not to picky just steam.

I model all kinds of stuff between the '40s and now. But my structures and scenery is of the 1950s. My primary intrest is Southern Pacific and Union Pacific in the late steam era. Steam rules, but some of today's diesels can't be passed up!

I model Southern Pacific 1955-1976. The primary reason is SP engines traveled everywhere west of Chicago. SP usually bought every type of locomotive available by the manufacturers and had their own distintive light package which made them stand out. I prefer the mountain or grade scenerio so I can use the cab forward, the SD45's, and big power but it's nice to run the Alco S4 in yard service too. Unfortunately the Yellow Monster bought out SP, but such is life and the SP memory lives on.....

I model modern era UP and SP with BNSF interchange in the Pacific Northwest coast range. Eventhough I do have a couple of RS 1's running switching. I figure since it is freelanced that it's okay.

Hi, everyone. I picked a Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo bedecked 4-6-4 from BLI as my first loco because that's what the LHS guy took out of the case and dazzled me with, sound and all. Don't know the first thing about the road, and don't care a whole lot; just want to have fun, and a sound-equipped J1e did it for me.

My layout is freelance, and the stock is a mix of CP, CN, and TH&B.

I really respect those American roads 'cuz they designed and built all of the great steamers that thundered up and down passes everywhere in North America.

I model Bath, Maine from the 1970's to the present. Therfore I model several lines that have operated on this trackage.Primarily I model the Maine Central 1970-1983,but I also model Safe Handling Rail Inc. 2001 to 2003 and the Maine Eastern RR 2003-present. I don't like the Guilford paint scheme(not to mention that I don't believe Guilford ever turned a wheel on the Brunswick to Rockland branch!), so I skipped 1984-1990. I have been having difficulty finding locos or rolling stock for the Maine Coast RR, so, for now, I'm holding off on that era.

I don't know what the others are getting all upset about. I never saw anything in the poll even remotely asking about scale or gauge. However, the list WAS rather limiting. Where are all of the post merger RR's like BNSF, CSX, and UPSF? Also, how about those who model an area/division that handles more than one railroad like the Cajon Pass? Also for our upset Canadian friend, I'm sure the host didn't know there were so many Canadian lines. I know I didn't. I always thought there only just two. Oh well, we learn something every day, don't we.
