Hello everyone, and welcome to a new weekend, Thanksgiving style!
I thought I had a properly holiday themed picture stored away for Weekend Photo Fun, Thanksgiving. If I did, I cannot find it.
That Is OK, I will just share an Autumn themed picture instead. It still brings the spirit of the season.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone's photographs this weekend. Let's have some fun!

Thanks for starting another WPF Kevin. I like the fall scene with those great looking trees.
Those two axle stock cars sure are convincing David. They look like real wood, maybe they are?
I had to re-build the double Warren truss bridge and extend it into a triple because the new Timber Trestle wouldn't fit right into the transition.
She held up well with a heavy steamer test before the center pier support was put in.
Some of those solvent joints are a bear to get apart after they are fused together.
Warren truss bridges have unequal truss spacing so they do not line up with 90-degree members when built at an angle. I don't know if railroads built angled bridges with angled members but they do now
I haven't decided on the thickness of the rail support beams yet.
Some members were cut out of a Warren bridge to shorten the middle section. This new three tier truss ends exactly 3/8" from the timber trestle end for the double bent transition.
Now the timber trestle will fit. Finally I can sleep well again

So I ended up going past the hobby shop today. HAd to drop in of course. Quite packed actually. this was my haul for the day. 5 bucks is enough for food for an entire wseek right?

I like the mix you got going on there and the rusty corrugated siding sandwiched in the middle makes it quite interesting
That roll roofing looks like the real McCoy and I see the chimney guy didn't quite know how to stop a leak so he got the Blackjack out

In a 'job lot' from a family member was a crane match truck minus its fittings.
As it runs okay a cosmetic tidy-up before applying any fittings.

My son and I decided to pull all of the 50's stuff off of the layout and change to our alternative universe which moves the date 50 years to the mid 2000's. Instead of the C&NW running the line, it changed over to UP. Here is a UP freight headed east.

Scott that 50 years went fast, nice clean loco and wagons.
I took a break from scenery this week and climbed under the layout to change my drop down uncoupling magnet from fishing line and lever operation to using a spare Tortoise motor. I can operate it from two different places remotely now. I used two momentary action centre off toggle switches at different locations to swap the tortoise direction. Here's a video of the result. It doesn't look like embedding is working for me, here's the link.

My latest project, purchased from Berkshire Valley Models. An Amish doctor's buggy kit, horse and lanterns. Thanks Mike Lehman for the tip on the vendor.

Allan It is a Triang one, altered a little and different to the usual. It was in the job-lot with the match truck.
BRVRR. No it is not self propelled. I just added bits to give the impression it is. It is a permanent feature at Clarence Dock. I just move it around by hand to give the impression it is working or to allow rolling stock in and out.
TF All the cattle trucks (I have seven) are made out of plastic, giving a wooden appearance.
Nice stuff everyone! It's been a busy weekend away from the RR action, but I was able to squeak in a late weekend shot. It's still Sunday here.
The hostler was peeking what's taking so long to clear the floor to get this switcher in the diesel shop with the little terminal switcher.
Hopefully more action for next week. Dan
