QUOTE: Originally posted by AntonioFP45 I hope BLI didn't screw up. The GP9's sound, if accurate, should sound very similar to the BLI E7 which came with the 567 series diesel (though E units had two). One thing guys, your points are valid but the term "Accurate To the Prototype" should be broadened to "Accurate to the Prototype Power Plant". I noticed "back in the day" that varous types of prototype EMD units with 567 diesels sound very similar to each other, including the old EMD switchers (except that their exhaust was louder! ). Just like I noticed back then that, except for the horns, a Seaboard Coast Line SD45 and an Amtrak SDP40f sounded identical as they had 645 series diesel power. That turbo-charged whine was very distinct.. I found out from a good friend that Happy Hobo Trains has the GP9s in stock. I'll ask Kevin to do a demo run for me and then I'll chime back in with my 2 cents. 10-4!
