[#welcome] Good question Greg,setting here reading the back of the box of my new GP9 it says variable rpm diesel engine sounds.This tells me right away that it is not acurate to the prototype.I raised the same question reguarding LL 2-8-8-2 and bli's class a 2-6-6-4.I think you will find as I have stated in the past as the sound revaloution becomes more common place all the Manf will be forced to offer more acurate sounds to the prototype to obtain there market share aka your wallet.Although I am a stickler for acurate sounds it has not taken anything away from the GP9 and my thouhts on its performance and or sound I probably will buy another one soon.Terry.
