I have used train liquidator a couole of times. Whatever they did not have in stock they gave me a credit for. Very pleased with their service.

Rule 2: I make the rules.
Rule 3: Illuminating discussion of prototype history, equipment and operating practices is always welcome, but in the event of visitor-perceived anacronisms, detail descrepancies or operating errors, consult RULE 1!
I spoke with Steve earlier today. He has moved to Florida, so the Illanois address is no good. The phone number is fine. He will be going to his warehosue tomorrow to ensure that he actually has the item that I am interested in and will call me. We will se what happens.

NS6770fanDoesn’t seem legit when they are selling IHC and such for $10. I thought IHC is defunct??
Well that IS sort of what a liquidator does ....

NS6770fanUnless this is some evilbay seller, don’t buy anything.
I'm guessing you have had very bad experiences with eBay? I see others here calling them "Feebay" or various forms of the name you call it.
At least with eBay and to some extent PayPal, the buyer has some protections and eBay makes reasonable efforts to ferret out the scammers and rip-off artists.
Yes, there are fees involved in providing this level of protection and in maintaining the site that eBay runs has to be very costly.
Personally, I have no complaints at all with eBay and in some 2000 transactions I don't recall ever having any problems whatsoever with their services.
Maybe others have had bad experiences. I try to shop carefully and look at the seller's profile and "score".
I see lots of "orphaned" hobby sellers on the WWW and if their site hasn't seen any updates or activity in, say the past five or ten years, I take that as a pretty good indication to stay away.

Here's an old thread from 2008:

I guess they have been around a while. And the shipping info page, where the address is found, along with a phone number was last updated in 2010.
A couple of guys in the old thread had bought from them.
Read through it yourself, and make your own decision.

I did some researching, and apparently, the business is run out of some house in Grayslake Illinois. Something Doesn’t seem legit when they are selling IHC and such for $10. I thought IHC is defunct?? Go to their shipping and returns page. You will find an Address and upon entering into google maps, a house shows up. Unless this is some evilbay seller, don’t buy anything. May be a scandal or scam.
EDIT
Website looks like it was slapped together one night with tons of copyrighted images.
I've never dealt with them, first time I've ever heard of them, but that's not unusual, as there are so many places on the web.
Their web site sure is basic and bleak, very few pictures, if any, of what they have, and nothing about the company, not even where they are located.
Has anyone delt with Train Liquidators? They have an item that I am interested in. I have not delt with them before. Are they legitimate and how is their service?
