There was an article in MR back in I think the 80's, by the guy who made the smaller trolley. He felt this was the only connection missing on the trip between Mr. Roger's Neighborhood and the Land of Make Believe. So over one weekend or something similar, he constructed an HO trolley to go with that part of the sceen, to transition to the larger trolley. He says he was very apprehenesive waiting for Fred Rogers to see it, because he did not like to change things - it confused the children who watched the show. However, it was well received, and remained a part of the show. It was a dummy trolley, or he made it a dummy by pulling the motor, and it was propelled with a string.

mbinsewi I just had to Google it, and it was actually a G scale trolley. Google it yourself, and you'll see tons of images. Mike.

SeeYou190I have no idea what the large scale trolley was that ran from his house to the Neighborhood Of Make-Believe.
I believe they were made by the Holgate Toy Company.
It's been fun. But it isn't much fun anymore. Signing off for now.
The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of my employer, any other railroad, company, or person.t fun any
I believe the trolley was Bachmann. Mr. Roger's house was the "Cape Cod" Plasticville house.

Living the dream.
For some reason Bachmann comes to mind. You'll have to search around for Mr. Rodgers trolley, and see what you find.
I that trolley is bigger than HO scale, maybe O scale? I'm not sure.
Hi all, I am wondering what Brand of trolley car did Mr. Rodgers (or the production team) use for His HO Diorama starting in the 1980s was it AHM, Life Like, Bachmann??? I vividly remember watching the show as a kid in the (Late) 90s and Early 2000s and I think it was a pretty fantastic show! I think it would be cool to recreate the trolley car for Train shows running on layouts and for Home use, Thank you for any information!
