Log in problems seam to be part of the new norm.  I've had my share, along with digital archives problems. Confused

Stay warm, everyone. I talked to CudaKen the other day and mentioned clearing his browser cache and cookies. Looks like he hasn't done that yet.

Mr. Otte, do you have any advice for Ken?

That is my best advice. Delete the cookies associated with the domain cs.trains.com. I had to do that myself. It worked, though now I have to log in every. darn. time. Angry I think that's a browser setting -- "don't keep cookies from sites whose cookies you've deleted before" -- that I have to track down and turn off. Hopefully.

Speaking of which.

Have one.

Chocolate chip cookies - my favourite!

Steven Otte
Have one.

That won´t do, Steven - I am good for at least half a dozen! Especially when Petra has made them, from a recipe her late aunt Bobby from Portland OR sent her years ago. Actually, Bobby´s real name was Margret, but no one ever called her that. No one knows, where the name Bobby came from, either.

Happy times!

Have one.

Thanks, I will. And a large cup of coffee, please.

The cookies appear to be what Tinplate might call selbstgebacken.

Nothing beats selbstgebacken, Robert!

  • Selbstgebackener Apfelstrudel
  • Selbstgebackener Apfelkuchen
  • Selbstgebackene Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • Selbstgebackener Käsekuchen
  • Selbstgebackener Kirschstreuselkuchen

It´s starting to get mouth-watering!

Have you ever heard of the Isle of Man? This is an island in the Irish Sea, somewhere between GB and the Republic of Ireland. Known to bike lovers for the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, an infamous road race along the island´s narrow and winding roads.

Among bicycling enthusiasts, it is also know as the home of Mark Cavendish.

Dianne and I are not having a good night! We got word a few hours ago that Dianne's brother in law has been kidnapped in Colombia. This one is not a scam. He has been missing for five days. That's not a good sign.

InterPol, the RCMP, the Canadian government and the Columbian police are all working on it. Fortunately, because he travelled to foreign countries frequently, he was registered with a service called S.O.S. who deal with these things and are helping Dianne's sister cope. They have given her all sorts of advice on what to do to deal with the situation. They are helping her at home and they are on the ground in Columbia helping with his return.

Hope I haven't dampened your mood tonight, but we need all the support we can get. Talking to you guys is better than just sitting beside the phone waiting.

Dave

I am so sorry to hear your bad news Dave. I'll be including you, your wife and her brother-in-law in my words to the man upstairs tonight. Try to keep your chin up. Let me know if you want to talk to get your mind off of things.

PS  When something like this is beyond your control and there's nothing you can do about it but wait. It is better not to dwell on things too long of a time. I know it's hard to do but try to get your mind on other things inbetween your grief.

I will keep you, Dianne and everyone affected in my thoughts, Dave.

May I ask for a little more background on the S.O.S. organization? Simply searching sos or sos organization doesn't get me very far in the normal search routine. I get many returns for SOS Children's Villages. Is that it?

Hi Ed,

I know nothing about it other than that they have quite a few resources for dealing with these things. If I get any more info I will pass it on.

Thank you, Dave. I'll take a look at their site and learn more.

Good luck to you all...

CudaKen is looking into how to clear his cookies from Firefox. I hope he gets all the crumbs, too. If anyone has Firefox experience in this and have any pointers, he would sure appreciate it.

Hi Ulrich,

Thanks for your support. The seriousness of the situation is still sinking in. Dianne and I are both stressed to the point that we were getting mad at any minor inconvenience. We have stopped to think, and we have promised not to take the stress out on each other.

Dave I am asking some my friends to pray for your situation too, I don't know if Mr. Otte will get mad about this but may I suggest asking the Man upstairs for wisdom in this situation, one thing I've learned is He always answers that request.

I hear you, Dave!

When Petra and I were targeted and threatened by the Antifa, our lives were turned upside down. While the threat is not gone, we have learned how to deal with it.

May you have the strength and the faith you need to have in this situation!

Ulrich, why the bloody Devil would a group like antifa target you and yours?

I highly doubt you're trying to be the a fascist dictator or something and  staging a coup or revolution in GermanyPirateSoapBox!Laugh

Some people are just idiots and they let stereotypes rule their minds, that's the root of the worlds problems right there, stereotypes, everybody has them for everyone else!

Please let's not turn this into a debate about terrorism. These guys are just petty thieves who have figured out a better way to milk the system.

Steven, even though I am not religious I appreciate your support. Thanks.

Steven, this is not the place to discuss the reason behind. People who know me for a while now have the background on it, which I could explain in a PM to you, but you have not chosen the option of receiving PMs

Better not to get sidetracked now and hope for a safe return of Dave´s and Dianne´s BIL.

Happy times!

Dave,

Prayers for your family. It is difficult to not let a situation such as this impact your daily life.

It is fortuniate that there is a support organization that can be used by the family.

It seems BATMAN (Brent) is also unable to log in and he sends his best to all. Ja Bear is also on the MIA list. Let's hope all of the issues, for all concerned, get resolved in an amicable fashion, soon.
