Good morning diners!

Another warm day here in WI.  Windows open and fan running last night, and it felt good.  A repeat for today, than the change...back to spring.....early spring.

Happy birthday to you , Alexander, I share NP's thoughts on how fast time can fly.  It seems to get quicker and quicker.  18 for me?.....well it seems like yesterday....well maybe last week?  Just glad it wasn't, been there, done that, and besides, I'd be late for work already...lol..( OOPS..I mean w**k) and certainly wouldn't be typing on a computer key board while on the ......inter-what???...the world net????  uh?...Confused

And a happy birthday to your son, too, NP.  My youngest son turns 30 this year.

Have a great day everyone !

Good morning. It's 65° with 99% humidity. It'll be cloudy with showers likely. The high will be 82°.

Shopping will be the prime activity today. I need to do the first half of the grocery shopping as the cupboards are somewhat bare. I also need to get more gauze pads and tape for my foot. I may work on the layout later today.

CDN Dennis-  LaughOh I just have a regular subdivision lot, oops, sorry Estate Confused Lot’s a little bigger but mainly pay more in taxes. I make it sound like alot because I'm going for the sympathy voteLaugh. I do use the tractor for more than just mowing otherwise I would just stick with a push mower.  Not MUCH more, but more. And since I don't have to take care of my Mothers yard, which was an acre, I truly thought about not replacing the thing. This push mower I have now is self propelled so I’m just pretty much walking around the yard. But the wife…..well she wants to be able to mow as wellYes and oddly enough she just can’t seem to get a push mower startedHmm. Never could. But a riding mowerBig Smile, now she can use one of thoseYes. Usually doesn’tWhistling….but could.

Um, not to get my nose in anything, but someone asked Jeff a computer question in the other place, can't remember who. Maybe he's PM'd you maybe not, that's not why I mention this.

Why I brought it up is as a helper, around here when we mention someone we want to see something like as in a response or a statement, we highlight and/ or bold the name so it jumps out at the reader. Especially Jeff if he's not feeling well or if his eyes are giving him fits, he may just skim for his name...or.....he just doesn't wanna answer. But I doubt it, I've never seen him refuse to help someone. And, there are other skimmers too, especially if they've been away for a bit.

Speaking of away for a bit....Lee? You out there? Bet he's got a few bridge issues.

Most of the time I do just skim over the postings as I have very bad dyslexia, possibly worse than Galaxy's and there's a good possibility I'll miss something meant for me if it's not highlighted in some way. I take the time to bold and highlight someones display name as I assume they'll probably be skimming as well. On helping others, I'll help it I'm able to. If I don't know about what their asking about I'm not going to pretend that I do. Either I know about it or I don't. I'm not going to lie about it. Some questions I get are computer related, some are decoder related, some are related to things I've done in rebuilding a loco or building a Frankenloco. Sometimes I respond in the thread, other times I respond via PM.

Nope, not me. Mine is a big black and white van with a red and white firefighter license plate. The department let me keep my badge and firefighter status after I retired, a sign of respect for my many years of service.

Another beautiful spring day in the Old Dominion state!  I just finished my sausage, eggs and hashbrowns.  Doctor recently put me on a high salt, high colesterol regimine.  Washed it down with a big glass of whole milk just like mom used to make me drink before I could leave the table.

Now to get my protein enriched butt back to work..........

Mornin' everyone!

Zoe, I'll have the #2 special, eggs over easy, bacon, home fries, and a double order of sour dough toast with real butter.  Oh, and lots of dark roast coffee for my R&GV RR mug, thanks!

Happy Birthday to all those who are or soon to be celebrating them...  Hope you have a great one!

Hey Galaxy!  Where the heck are we this month?  I don't recognize any landmarks around the place...

Today I might actually get time to go down cellar and stare at the layout for a few minutes while I do laundry.  That will be after I finish mowing the lawn.

Morning All,

Currently 47 with an expected high of 65 under partly cloudy skies.

Today being Wednesday, is my regular day off. I have a load of laundry going right now. Will cook up a few meals for the week and freeze them in small one person portions. Then pay a few bills. Was thinking about yard w**k, but decided the layout needed more attention, so I hope to paint the engine house and do some more scenery w**k.

Happy B-DayCakeGift to all those celebrating their special day.

Afternoon guys

Been working on getting the front bumper and fender off of my brother's Miata. It's nice to have a car that only has metric bolts and nuts. My mustang has both metric and standard (ton op of torx and hex-sockets). Took a few hours but I got it. The killer was getting into some of the areas to loosen bolts. The car is probably made for small people, by small people. I wonder if Jeff could fit in one, much less get in (I have issues doing that)?

There was also a recess for a snake. I was taking the fenderliner off of the driver's side, and apparently there was a snake in there. It landed next to me (laying down on my back) and didn't move, I thought it was dead until I touched it. Me and the snake kinda scooted away from each other... I figure it was about 18-24 inches long, gray/tan with black/brown squares on it's back. I thought it might be a small diamondback, but it didn't have any rattles. I got a 6-foot long piece of PVC pipe and nudged into the grass away from the me and my brother... It did wrap itself around the pipe once when I was holding the pipe, and I tried to get my brother to take a pic but he didn't. I went back to work and guess what my brother does. He goes and lays next to the snake with his camera, and starts poking it with a short (probably under a foot) stick. The thing just played dead when he did that. Any idea what kind of snake that might be, and why was it inside the miata? The car has been in the garage for over a year and a half now. I wonder if it was there the whole time? We haven't had any issues with rats or mice, so it may have been keeping them away.

I don't know if I'll work on trains today. I did get pipe cleaner yesterday to get the paint out of the beacons. I just don't feel like messing with it now.

I won't turn 24 until August... I got a ways to go lol

NP, happy birthday to your son

Alex, happy birthday to you.

Hi Jeff, I think it was a post from me, directed to you, that Todd was referring to.  I'm not sure how you highlight the name like you do...I'll try this:  Jeffrey-Wimberly,  I don't know how you do the the color thing with the name, but anyway,  the question I had for you, since you are way more computer savy than I will  ever be,   I stll use a computer with Windows XP, home edition, and IE 8.0.  I don't think I can up-grade any more, as the automatice updates, etc., have expired, as far as I know, especially for IE 8.  I discovered that FireFox seemed a lot better and faster on a lot of the sites I use,  so I now use it, version 20, with auto-updates, for most of my browseing.  I have noticed that there are some things I can not do on Fire Fox, that I can do on IE 8, and one of them is view the web cams in Trains.  After reading about Java, and Fire Fox, I understand there are some secutiy issues between Fire Fox and Java, so I was wondering if it's something I can do on my computer?  or just avoid any hassles, and use IE 8 when I want to view the cams.

Thanks Jeff.

Mike.

got some handrails to replace, I busted the ones on my PSAP GP40-2. I was also going to go back and continue scouting out the layout.

Was it unusual for trains to be longer than the platforms at back in stations?

... I'm not sure how you highlight the name like you do...I'll try this:  Jeffrey-Wimberly,  I don't know how you do the the color thing with the name, but anyway,  ...

In the posting WINDOW MIKE, on the top toolbar, right next to the FONT SIZE box {to it's right} is a "A" with a down arrow to the right of it, click on the arrow, you will SEE COLORS. When you highlight the letter/word/sentece/paragraph. and click the arrow to the right of the "A" and select a color... it will make that letter/word/sentence/paragraph that COLOR.

To select a background color, the 5th item from the left on the second line of teh toolbar is an "ab" with a pencil next to it. click it the same way after you highlighted a letter/word/senetence/paragraph to get a BACKGROUND COLOR. DO both, and you get a color within a color!

Well well

we went and did somehting we haven't done in a LONG awhile..we stimulated the economy!!!

We went and bought a lawnmower{needed since  a yr and a half ago, but we been borrowing the neighbors}, a srayer for weedkiller, a new box fan, two throw rugs for the hall by the washer/dryer and SOME plants...a Hibiscus {as opposed to the LOWbiscus} for the MIL and a parsley and basil for us to eat.
