My prototype that I'm trying to model is a branch of the PRR that went from Lancaster, PA to Columbia, PA and is now just an industrial track, pretty much. It was electrified back in the 60's and was run by Conrail for a while when I was a kid. It passed by the Dillerville Yard in Lancaster near F&M College, through Rohrerstown, Mountville, and then to the Columbia Yard in Columbia where it linked up with the old Port Road. I can't find any information on it via Google or Yahoo, do you guys know good places to research this stuff at?
Thanks,
Mike Brubaker
This question might get better responses if it was posted over on the "Prototype Information for the Modeler" forum pages.
However, unless someone has personal info about this line, if you found nothing on google and Yahoo, you might be out of luck.
Since it was in Lancaster PA, you might contact the Railroad Museum of PA in Strasburg. They might know something or be able to put you in contact with a historical society or somesuch in Lancaster County.

HO and N Scale.
After long and careful thought, they have convinced me. I have come to the conclusion that they are right. The aliens did it.
kc.pennsyrr.com and start digging around. There's Track Chart, Eastern Region, Philadelphia Division, Branches (Part B) which shows Columbia. And if you're any good at looking at aerial photographs without roads or anything to help you, pennpilot.psu.edu has period aerial photo surveys
There's a portroad yahoo group with people (and some employees and former employees) that are familiar with it.

What kind of specific information are you looking for? If it's information about the line today, I may know someone that can help. If it's about the past, the yahoo group above may be your best bet.
