My name is John. I live in North Georgia. I was a military brat and I grew up in Hawaii. I've also lived in California. I spent five years in the army (Europe, Vietnam, Philippines, Austrailia, Japan, Fort Ord California and Fort Benning, Georgia). I work as a signpainter and a graphic artist. I have a beautiful wife whom I ment in college, and have four children (all grown) and have 5 grandchildren. I have two hobbies that I've enjoyed doing for the last 25 years, woodworking and model railroading.

My likes far out weigh my dislikes. After I came back from the war, life and everything about it became very precious to me. I try to keep a positive attitude about people and everything else. I like to listen to easy listening music and some country.

Wellington, New Zealand. Most of you will only have a hazy idea where that is :-)

Like: Married life. Asian women. Slacking off on the internet at work. Reading every back issue of MR I can get my hands on, having been out of the hobby for 30 years. George Sellios' Franklin and South Manchester Railroad.
Dislike: people having their lives cut short. Thinking of you Aggro.

Dreams: my South Pacific Lines railroad (slowly becoming realities). Retirement. A cure for some of my friends and family who didn't get the same breaks I did (and Aggro).

Music: none at all in public places - fries my brain. Occasionally a little Mozart, Sinatra or Led Zeppelin (no really).

Cats. I like an animal that doesn't grovel.

COOL!!![8D]

1) Otterville, Missouri. Oh come on, everyone knows where Otterville is!!! OK, OK, it is in central Missouri about 45 miles west of Jeff City or 90 miles east of Kansas City, right on the UP main (former MoPac Sedalia sub) that takes the KC/StL traffic eastbound (westbound traffic takes a parallel route that is part of a double main from StL to Jeff City, but then deviates north following the Missouri River while this main runs parallel to US highway 50 about 30 miles to the south.)

2) Well, uuuhhh, I like trains.....oh yes, and golf, hunting, fishing, singing.

3) I once dreamed I was a Bassett hound. When I woke up my hands, feet, and ears were swollen. [;)]

4) Contemporary Christian, Jazz (Big Band, Swing), and all things NOT country.

5) 1 cat at home, 5 fish at work, and hopefully a Bassett hound soon.

I wouldn't go that far, but really if it were a love-hate thing instead of a hate-love thing, she would be the one, for sure[:D][:D], just yanking your chain a-bit, don't worry about it too much, by the time you're 18 or 20 you'll probably fall in love at least 10 more times. It's the one that makes you want to be with her instead of running trains, that you'll have watchout for. She will most definately be the one.
